3 weeks old

Hello everyone!  I can't believe it, but Bryant is 3 weeks old today!  Time sure is flying by.  Well...the days/nights go by kind of slow, but overall it's going fast.  Josh had a great idea that we should start taking a picture of Bryant every week with a stuffed animal.  That way we can really see how much he is growing!  So...below is the 3 week picture.  Thanks to Aunt Grace and Uncle Jonathan for providing the Awesome Alabama bear! :)  And yes, he is crying in the picture, but I couldn't get a good one.

This weekend has been a very busy one.  Bryant has had several visitors.  Courtney came and saw him on Friday night, and they had fun! ;)

And Jojo came Saturday to see him.  Then Jackie (who hasn't decided on her grandmother name yet) got here Sunday to stay for several days.  Below are some pictures from today.  The adorable outfit he has on was from Jackie.  Doesn't he look soooo cute in it! :)

Two last pictures I have to share are of Bryant in his car seat.  We had gotten back from a walk and he was asleep in his seat, so we let him be!  As you can see, Sampson was tired from the walk too.  Too cute!

Until next time...

The Best Big Brother

I just wanted to show everyone what an AWESOME big brother I have.  Last night I was kind of upset during bath time, well my great brother Sampson was very concerned.  As you can tell from the picture below he decided to help out with the drying and lotioning part of bath time to make sure mommy and daddy didn't upset me anymore.  Isn't he great!  So helpful and protective!

Oh, and I've also included a picture of me napping today because mommy thinks it is cute!  She's so silly, she thinks every picture of me is cute! :)

Til next time...

Pediatrician's Visit

Hello everyone!  I wanted to give an update on my little man.  Bryant had his 2 week pediatrician visit today.  It went very well.  We saw Dr. Simpson, and he was extremely nice.  They weighed him, measured him, did a checkup on him, and took blood.  I had been a little concerned about how much milk Bryant was actually getting, when you are solely breastfeeding you just never know, well I am definitely not going to be worrying anymore for right now because the chunky monkey weighed 9 lbs 4 oz today!  That means in one week he has gained 10 ounces!  The doctor said that was fine and it just shows how good he is doing, but he also said not to expect him to continue to gain so much so fast.  He had also grown 1/2 inch from his birth length of 21 1/4 inches to now being 21 3/4 inches.  We are so proud and happy that he is growing so much!!  Everything else the pediatrician checked looked great.  He said he seemed to be one happy, healthy little boy!  That is beautiful music to a mother's ears!!  As for how we are doing at home, it's going well!  My mom left this past Friday, so it has just been the three...well four counting Sampson...of us since then.  I am definitely more tired, but that is just part of it!  Bryant has his days and nights mixed up, but we are hoping this will work itself out soon.  Otherwise he is a pretty easy going baby...up to this point! :)  Well, I guess that is all for now.  I am attaching some new pictures from the past week so everyone can get their Bryant fix!

Welcome to my life!

Well, you've met my fam by now so I decided it was about time for me to post to let everyone know how I am adjusting to my new brother.  It's going okay.  I'd give this whole idea a B...well maybe a B-.  I've realized now that he is here to stay, and I guess I'm okay with that.  I was so accustomed to being the center of attention, but now I have to share that attention.  It is not fun.  I mostly like to sniff him a lot...mainly to make sure they haven't brought home another one.  Look Mom and Dad....let's take this thing slow...one at a time.  I will say this though, I find it very interesting that mommy makes such a big deal when he burps or poops.  I mean, I do that all the time, except for they make me do it in the backyard.  What's that all about?  I must say, this little guy has it made.  He gets to eat a lot more than two times a day.  He's growing on me though and I can truly say that I love my little brother.  I can't wait to teach him all sorts of cool things like how to duck hunt...I love duck hunting!  I do get worried about him sometimes.  I don't like when my mommy or daddy give him a bath.  He cries a lot and that makes me so worried.  Overall, having a brother is pretty cool.  I would encourage both of my cousins, Harry and Mocha to get one very soon.  Wait!  What was that!?!  I have to run...I have to go and bark at the neighbor's dog.  It's my life...See you later.

Happy Valentine's Day (one day late...)

Well, if there is one thing I have already learned about motherhood, it is this: You are ALWAYS busy!!  I had planned to post this yesterday, but time got away from me.  Bryant was actually awake a lot of the day yesterday, which was great because that made him sleep great last night.  Who knew how excited a person could be about getting 3 good 2 hr increment sleeps!!  I feel like a new woman today! :)  Anyway, yesterday was the best Valentine's day I have ever experienced.  I knew I loved my husband so much, but there is no way to explain the depth of the love I feel for him now that Bryant is here, and of course the depth of love I have for Bryant.  Oh, and also, my amazing husband brought me home the most beautiful roses!

We then actually got to go out to dinner while JoJo kept Bryant.

It was so nice to get dressed up and feel normal, although I have to admit Bryant was definitely on my mind the entire time I was away from him.  Well, I guess that's all for now, I'm sure you will be hearing from me or Bryant soon.  Also, to hold everyone over until then, I have posted some more pics of the little man below!

I'm a whole week old!

Well, I made it through my first week of life.  And boy it has been fun!  I have continued to have lots of people come to visit me.

My Uncle Jon and Rachel came for the weekend and we had tons of fun!  Rachel was very helpful with holding me, talking to me, and giving me a bath.

Then on Sunday my Pops brought my Great Gran to come meet me.

On Sunday I got to go for my first walk with my brother Sampson and my mommy and daddy.  It was great...although it put me right to sleep.

Oh, and also, just an update on my Billy Reuben...it's lots better.  I had to go back to the Pediatrician on Saturday, and they told me that I was much better.  Thank goodness because I was getting tired of having my heel pricked every day.

Ok, well thanks for checking in.  I'll talk to you soon!

Billy Who? Isn't a Reuben a sandwich?

I am a little confused...The Doc says I got this thing called Bilirubin.  I have been told that my Dad has an Uncle Billy.  My Dad also told me that the only Reuben he knows is an American Idol, but he is from the "205" just like me.  Well, anyway, I have to get this thing worked out.  So, I have to pee and poop as much as I can and eat as much as I can.  Also, I also have been having to tan a little bit on this tanning bed thingy that a nurse brought by my house.  I have been doing it for one whole day now and it has really helped me get rid of Uncle Billy and his favorite singer.  While I have been tanning I have had some help keeping warm.  I want to thank my unnamed Granddad for the hat that I have been wearing to keep my head warm.  I really like it...I have worn it since he gave it to me.  I also need to thank Aunt Hillary for the really warm blanket that she gave me with my initials.  It is really snug and comfortable.  Well I must go back to watching a documentary on Ronald Reagan with my Dad.  I'm learning how to be President...I think I will be one day.  Thank you for reading my first post on our family blog...I can't wait til I can read it too!

Bryant

Like Father, Like Son

During Bryant's first couple of days we were definitely trying to decide who he favored the most...Mom or Dad?  I think we figured it out.

Nice to Meet You...Bryant

Bryant got to meet his Grandparents during the first few minutes of his life.

And don't forget about Aunt Hillary!

It is good to have a nurse in the family.  We can't express how thankful we are to Aunt Hillary for all of her help while she was here visiting Bryant.

Super Bowl Baby!!!

Joshua Bryant Lee, Jr. came into the world on Super Bowl Sunday (February 6, 2011) at 9:49 am.  He weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long.  We are really excited that he decided to come early! (thanks to Hillary Moore's chili!)  Actually, his Uncle Pro predicted that he was ready to come just hours before he did.  We were over at Super Club at Matt and Hillary's when he let us know he was headed our way.  We were so excited because we couldn't wait to meet him!  We were so blessed to be able to share this moment with a lot of our friends and family.  Here are a few of the pictures of Bryant and his visitors.

As soon as I get Josh to bring home my camera cord from his office, I will get more pictures up.  Believe me, there are a lot more pictures and there were a ton of our awesome friends and family that came by to meet Bryant.

Have a Great Day!
