25 Weeks Old!

Above is Bryant's 25 week picture.  He looks so cute!!  Love that smile!  There is not much new going on with us since the last post.  Bryant got to see his Poppi yesterday for about an hour when he came through going to a funeral.  So, that was fun for him!  Other than that it has been a pretty lazy weekend.  Below is a picture of Sampson showing everyone how chill the weekend has been. :)  By the way, he just got a haircut on Thursday...so yeah, that's why his face, legs, & tail look golden, but the rest looks white!

Rocking and Meeting Uncle Shawn

As I mentioned in my last post, we were in Opelika for several days earlier this week.  We had a wonderful rest of the time there.  Here are a couple more pictures from our trip.

After we got home on Wednesday, we went with several of the coaches wives and their kids to Irondale Cafe...aka "Whistle Stop Cafe" from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.  It was lots of fun!  I really like the movie Fried Green Tomatoes, so it was neat to see the actual cafe from the movie!  On Friday we met up with Shelley and her family for lunch.  Shawn finally got to meet little Bryant!!  He had flown in Thursday night so they could go to his family reunion in Winfield.  So, on their way from Opelika to Winfield they stopped in Bham and had lunch with us!

So, the above picture is super cute in case you didn't notice.  It was so funny because I was trying to take a picture of Shawn and Bryant, but Tyler just leaned over and snuck in.  It was too cute!  He just wanted to be in the picture too he said! :)

I have one more fun thing to share.  It is a cute video of Bryant's newest thing...rocking!  In it he is doing the rocking motion....you know, when they get on their hands and knees and move back and forth trying to crawl.  Just one more step closer to crawling!  I seriously think he is going to crawl really soon!  Such a cutie pie!! :)

24 Weeks Old!

Bryant is 24 weeks old today!  What a big boy!  As you can tell from the picture above, we are not at home.  We are actually in Opelika at Jojo and Pops.  My sister Shelley and her two boys, Andre and Tyler, are in town from North Carolina.  And my sister Hillary and her husband Evan came down to Opelika for the weekend too.  Thus, of course Bryant and I had to come to see everyone.  We came down yesterday and are having lots of fun.  I am having fun just hanging out with the sisters and parents, and Bryant is really enjoying watching his cousins play.  He is also having fun playing with his cousins.  They really love him!  We have just been swimming in the pool and playing.  We are going to be here until Tuesday, and I imagine we will continue to have lots of good times!  Also, I have to say thanks to Poppi (Josh's dad) for the swimsuit Bryant is wearing in the picture.  He got him one red and one blue that each say Sea Island.  They are great!    So a couple of new things...  Bryant has gotten even better about trying to crawl.  He pulled up onto all fours for the first time!!

He also is starting to sit up by himself.  You have to spread his legs out a little in order to help him balance, but then he can really stay up for a little bit.  And by little bit I mean like 20-30 seconds, but that's pretty good for now!!

What's New?

Well...it has been a pretty fun week for us...although we have just been at home.  Bryant seems to be feeling a good bit better.  He still has a little congestion, but I can't help but wonder if it's from teething.  He is definitely showing signs of teething according to everyone I've talked to, but no teeth yet!  Although people say you can experience teething symptoms for a couple of months before the teeth actually show.  Wow...that sounds super fun! ;)  Anyway, Bryant is keeping me busy!!  We are really just hanging out...running errands...and yesterday we spent some time with friends!  Something new that Bryant has become fascinated with is his penis!  Yes, he has now become a boy/man! :)  But seriously, he grabs it pretty much every time I change his diaper.  It is kind of annoying...especially if he has a poopy diaper.  It definitely makes the changing/cleaning up process a little more difficult.  But oh well!  Other than that he isn't really doing much different.  He is still only scooting backwards, not forward.  And he is still putting everything in his mouth he can get his hands on!  He absolutely loves my water bottles!  It's super cute when he is chewing on the top like he is drinking it!  He also is still sucking his thumb.  He is definitely doing it more than he was, so I am started to get a little concerned...  We shall see! :)  Below are some new pictures of Bryant from this week.

23 Weeks Old!

Bryant is the big 2-3 today...that is in weeks!  But seriously, he is definitely getting bigger!  Josh looked at me last night and I was holding Bryant and he said.."He looks different".  I asked him what he meant, and he said.."He just looks older".  It is true, our baby is growing up! :)  Haha...if I am saying this now I wonder what I will be saying when he actually turns 23 years old!  Anyway, Bryant is still not feeling great, in fact I think he may be a little worse.  However, he is still eating and not running a fever, so we are just letting the cold run its course.  As my sister Hillary said, it will make him tougher!  I of course am having a little trouble feeling that way right now...but I guess there is some truth to that! :)  I haven't taken a lot of new pictures this week, but I will include one below of him trying to eat his feet.  He LOVES his feet.  FYI, I posted this picture on facebook, so a lot of you may have already seen it....sorry.  But hey, it's still cute even if you've already seen it!!

First Cold :( ...and Backward Scooting! :)

Well, Bryant is officially sick for the first time.  My poor baby! :(  He has what we think is a cold....runny nose, sneezing, coughing, and not sleeping good.  It breaks my little heart.  I am hoping it will be very short lived!  Today is his third day with it, so hopefully tomorrow it will be lots better!  The bad part is, before he got sick I wasn't feeling the best (although I think mine may have been sinus/allergies), and now Josh isn't feeling good!  Poor Lee Family!  On a happier note Bryant is starting to move more!  He has started to scoot backwards.  Besides rolling over, it is his first form of transportation!  I am so proud! :)  I have caught a little of it on video, although he was of course doing it better before I pulled out the camera.  Note that he starts at the cloth on the floor, and by the end is quite far from it!!  Go Bryant! :)  Also, I am including a couple of cute pictures from his crawling backwards adventure!

22 Weeks Old!

Bryant is 22 weeks old today!  He is continuing to change and grow LOTS!!  He is also doing 2 somewhat new things.  First, he has decided to suck his thumb.  I kind of thought we were past the point where he would start doing this, but apparently not.  Although he doesn't suck it all the time or anything, he does do it a good bit.  However, I'm thinking it may not become habit because he is still sucking his other fingers too and taking the pacifier.  I guess only time will tell!

The second thing he has started doing is trying to eat his feet.  He has been interested in them for a while now, but he has just now started to grab them and try to bring them to his mouth.  He has not succeeded yet, but I'm sure he probably will eventually!

Atlanta Braves Game!

Hey guys!  Guess what...I got to go to my very first Braves game at Turner Field!  It was super fun!  I have enjoyed watching the Braves with daddy on TV, but seeing them in person was even more exciting!  Mommy and daddy decided to make a whole trip of it, so we actually went up to Atlanta on Wednesday, even though the game wasn't until Thursday.  When we got over to Atlanta daddy went and played golf with a friend of his, and mommy and I went and hung out with Aunt Hillary and Uncle Evan.  They live in Marietta.  It was fun to see them, and I got to meet their chocolate lab Mocha.  She was really sweet and kept trying to lick me.  It was funny!

Aunt Hillary and Uncle Evan live in a one bedroom apartment, and even though I know they would have let us stay with them, mommy decided we should just get a hotel.  So...I got to experience my first night in a hotel!  It really wasn't very exciting.  We didn't get there until later because we went to dinner with Aunt Hillary and Uncle Evan, so I pretty much got a bath and had to go to bed.  The crib I slept in at the hotel was comfortable enough, but I still didn't sleep the best.  Oh well!

The next day we went to the Braves game.  They beat the Rockies and it was awesome!  We had 2nd row seats, which was super cool!  However, it was really hot so after a little while we decided to move up in the stands in order to get into the shade.  We could still see the game good and I was MUCH cooler! :)  Here are some pictures from my first Turner Field experience!  Hopefully I will get to go again next year!

Bryant

4th of July at the Lake!

Bryant got to have is first experience at the Lake for the 4th of July!  It was lots of fun!  We went to our friends Courtney & Scott's lake house at Logan Martin Lake.  We spent Sunday and Monday there just hanging out and spending time on the water!  Bryant seemed to enjoy it.  Although...he wasn't the biggest fan of his life jacket.  He looked so funny in it!

Every time we got on the boat and started moving he would just close his eyes and sleep.  I guess it was really relaxing to him.  He also enjoyed the lake water.  I forgot his floats at home, so Courtney and I had to go buy him one.  The only baby float we could find was a police car float.  It was super cute!  It says Pool Patrol on the side of it and the horn on the steering wheel honks!

He would just lean back in the float and chill.  He is such a good little baby!  Anyway, we all had lots of fun!  We jumped off the cliffs, swung on the rope swing, tubed, and swam!  Pretty much we acted like big kids, and it was AWESOME!! :)  I can't wait to go to the lake again with Bryant...he really loves the water!!  I'm going to post some more pictures of the blast we had below! :)
