29 Weeks Old!

Man I'm getting old!!  I was 29 weeks old yesterday...that's almost 7 months!!  And I am having a blast! :)  This past weekend was really fun.  Saturday was Fan Day for my daddy's team, UAB.  So me and mommy went.  I got to meet Blaze the dragon and lots of the players.  And I got to spend some time with daddy.  It was super exciting!

Today mommy and I went over to our friends Danielle & Lilly's house.  Mom and Danielle hung out and talked about boring adult stuff, and me and Lilly played!  We also went to the pool in their neighborhood. It was lots of fun!

Sleeping Through The Night!!!

As the title gives away, Bryant is OFFICIALLY sleeping through the night!!  And before I say more, let me say this, if your child slept through the night at 2 or 3 months then I really would prefer you not comment! :P  Seriously though, I am soooo happy!  The past 6 nights Bryant has slept anywhere from 9 1/2 - 10 1/2 hours!!  He's gone to bed anywhere between 7:15 - 8:00 and woken up anywhere between 5:15 - 6:15!  It is great!!  I have been waiting for this for a long time, and I couldn't be more excited that it is finally here!  I definitely think the solid foods has something to do with it!  All I have to say is this, Bryant, there is no going back now! :)  Besides being a big boy and sleeping through the night, he is also getting closer to actually crawling.  He moves one hand forward and then tries to pull one knee in.  He usually ends up nose diving, but he is super close.  It is so fun watching him learn what works and what doesn't.  I have a super cute video of his new crawling moves, but I couldn't get it to upload to youtube correctly to share it.  Sad. :(  Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it!  Well, below are some pictures of him crawling...sort of!! :)  Enjoy!

28 Weeks Old!

I had a little trouble getting a picture of Bryant actually sitting up straight with the bear this week.  Oh well!  The main reason I struggled this week is because he once again started trying to eat the teddy bear.  See below...

There's not much new since I posted last.  Although, I will say this, I will be shocked if Bryant doesn't have some teeth soon.  He has the clear runny nose...his drooling is more excessive than ever...he has been pulling on his ear some...he is fussy...and he is knawing on everything!  Plus he is at the most common age for the first tooth to come in!!  I may be wrong, but I kind of hope I'm not because this is rough!! :)  Anyway, below are a few more pictures of Bryant from the past couple of days!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Well...Bryant is scooching forward now!  I officially need to get busy childproofing my house!  He is getting the hang of it more and more each day.  Yesterday I put him down on his playmate, and he rolled over, crawled over to the coffee table, pulled off a magazine and started tearing it up.  We have our friend Lilly to thank for showing him how to do that. :)  He is at the point with his scooching where if he wants something he is going to get to it.  Period.  It's super cute, but I can tell it is going to be TROUBLE!!  Below is a video of him scooching across the floor...well, at least until the phone rings.

We are in Opelika again right now.  My sister Hillary and her husband Evan came down for the weekend, so Bryant and I decided to come down too to see them and Jojo and Pops.  Today Bryant got into the pool, and although we were just here a month ago, he definitely loved the water even more.  He was going crazy splashing it with his hands and feet.  It was adorable.  Once, he splashed really hard and got it all in his mouth.  The face he made was hilarious...like, "Hey, how'd that happen??".  Here are some pictures of him...thanks to Aunt Grace and Uncle Jonathan for the cute I love NY onesie! (which for those of you who don't know, that is where they have lived for 7 years...well, until 3 weeks ago!)

27 Weeks Old!

Bryant was 27 weeks old yesterday!  And in my opinion, he looks adorable in the above picture.  Thanks to Jama for the super cute outfit!!  Even though yesterday was Sunday, Josh still had to work. :(  So...Bryant and I went up to his office and ate lunch with him.  Below are a couple of pictures from our visit!

Yesterday afternoon I worked a little bit on getting some coupons together since the Sunday paper had come.  Bryant was so sweet and wanted to help.

This morning was a fun morning.  Bryant's friend Lilly came over for several hours while her mom went to a sewing class.  They just played and played.  Lilly is 4 1/2 months older than Bryant, so she is doing a lot more.  It was fun to see where Bryant will approximately be in 4 or so months.  I'll say one thing, I better get this house a little more child friendly before then! (aka...put things on higher shelfs!)

Well, I better go!  I have lots of things to do before Bryant wakes up from his nap...and since he is the king of taking 30 minute naps, I better hurry!! :)

Eating Solids!!

Bring on the grub!!!  Bryant is officially eating solids!  Woohoo!  Above is a picture of the first time I put him in his booster seat.  He was super stoked about what was coming!  :)  The first night I gave him rice cereal.  He actually did really good with it!  Below is a video!  Josh is working crazy hours, but luckily my mom was visiting, so she was able to record those first bites of solid food.  Yay!

The following morning I decided to try bananas.  I have decided to make Bryant's food.  And by make, I simply mean take the foods I am eating and, if needed soften them, and then mash them up.  So...I cut up a little of my banana, mashed it with a fork, and fed it to Bryant.  He wasn't the biggest fan of it.  But this morning I mashed up a banana that wasn't as ripe as the other one, and he loved it!  I'm thinking maybe the banana taste was a little to strong the first time...??

 Seriously...you want me to eat this??

Last night I decided to try some sweet potatoes.  At first he wasn't really eating them, but once I added a little water to them he loved it!!  I guess it was a little too thick for his liking quite yet, but once I made them a little runny he seriously ate them up!!

So far the solids experience has been fun!  However, I have to admit, it was definitely a lot easier when he was simply eating breastmilk.  Now it takes a lot more time and I have a mess to clean up!  Plus, he makes the mess worse by always wanting to try and feed himself!  Anyway, there's no going back now!! :)  I'm including a couple more pictures of Bryant below.  Apparently he likes to eat plants also! ;)

6 Month Check-Up!

Bryant had his 6 month pediatrician visit today.  It went pretty well.  They had to prick his finger and take blood, which he handled like a champ.  Then they also had to give him shots, which he wasn't as happy about.  But he only cried for a few seconds, so I guess he was a champ their too! :)  The doctor said he looked like a great, healthy little 6 month old!  He weighed 16 lbs 9 oz, which placed him in the 40th percentile for his age in weight.  And he was 27 inches long, which placed him in the 70th percentile for his age in height.  I was concerned that Bryant keeps falling in the weight percentile, but the doctor didn't seem worried.  The only other interesting topic we talked about was introducing Bryant to solids.  Finally!!  As many of you know I have been exclusively breastfeeding Bryant for the first 6 months, and I am soooo ready to start him on some solids.  And he seems ready too, so it is going to be great!!  Other than his doctor's visit, we have just been hanging out with Jojo this week.  Yesterday we went shopping and Jojo got Bryant some cute clothes for the fall.  I can't wait until he can wear them!! She leaves tomorrow, and we are very sad. :(  Below are some pictures from this fun week!
