Baby-Free Weekend…and Family Time!

Well, I officially made it through the first weekend with Bryant away.  And I have to say, it was quite nice!  Yes, I missed him, but I honestly had fun.  And it definitely made it easier knowing that he was having fun and not missing me much.  My mom and dad said he was great!  They played, went and saw Gran, swam in the pool, went to the park, and just had lots of fun!  He was a perfect angel the whole time, and honestly only asked for "Mama" or "Daddy" a handful of times.  YAY!!!  As for me, I did not end up doing a whole lot of nothing like I had wanted, but oh well!  On Friday night Josh and I went out with our friends Lauren & Justin, who were also baby free for the weekend.  We had a great time!  On Saturday I didn't get out of bed until 9:30!  Josh left around 10:30 to go to the Braves game in Atlanta, and I met my sister, Shelley, and her family for lunch.  They were in town for Shawn's family reunion.  So I got to see them some!  We had lunch at Irondale Cafe..aka Whistlestop Cafe from Fried Green Tomatoes.  It was fun.  Then after lunch I went over to my friend Natalie's house for the rest of the day.  We just hung out at the pool and had girl time.  My friend Lauren joined up with us later in the afternoon.  It was lots of fun.  I ended up not getting home until after 9:00.  Then Sunday I tried to sleep in some again.  We then went over to my Aunt & Uncle's house (where Shelley's family is staying) for lunch.  My parents met us over there with Bryant.  We had a great time!  And of course I was very excited to have my baby back. :)  All in all it was a success!  However, I told my mom I was going to need another baby-free weekend again soon so that I could actually relax. :)  Below are some pictures from my/our time with Shelley and her family on Saturday and Sunday!

 Me and my sister!
 Shelley and her beautiful family
Me with my sweet niece and nephews!
They're a band!  Bryant on the drums, Tyler on the banjo, and Andre on the piano! ;)

Bryant kept laying his head on her…it was sweet..although I'm not sure Addie thought so. :)
Precious girl with her crazy hair!!
Bryant loves Tyler, and I think Tyler loves him too!

Until next time…

Bryant is Weaned…And a Very Special Weekend!

We have had a good week.  Just been doing the normal around here.  However, one new thing has happened this week, Bryant has been completely weaned!!  WooHoo!!!  Nursing has been an amazing experience, and I have loved it!  And of course Bryant has too, which is why we just now weaned. :)  But I think this was a good time to do it.  It's weird, but nice, for my body to be completely mine again…  Anyways…let's see..other news this week…  On Tuesday Bryant had his last day of Mother's Day Out for the summer.  And today we went to the park.  He had such a fun time playing with another little boy who was 19 months old.  They just chased each other and giggled…it was precious.  Also today we went to the mall to shop for a few things.  Bryant was such a trooper that I let him ride the carousel.  Unfortunately, he was not too sure about it.  Oh well! :)  Also, Bryant fell and hit his head on the corner of our coffee table today.  It was his worst bump yet, and it made both of us very sad. :(  Below are some pictures from this week.

 Already working out!
Apparently a sand rake works well as a teether
 CHEESE
 Watching some morning cartoons
I turn around for a second, and this is what I come back to...
Sitting on the table is way more fun than sitting on the chair
Reading his bible on the bathroom floor
"Seriously mom, I'm trying to have some time alone here!"
Sporting his cool "U.S. Open" golf shirt!
Nasty knot on his forehead from hitting the coffee table.  Poor baby :(

As the title mentions, we have a very special weekend coming up.  Since Bryant is now weaned, I am sending him to Jojo and Pops (my parents) for the weekend!!!!  This will be the first time I have sent him away.  In his almost 18 months of life I have literally never not been in the same town as him.  And the only time I spent the night away from him was when he was 4 1/2 months old, and we were only apart for about 15 hours.  Needless to say this is a VERY big deal!  However, I am really looking forward to it.  I will actually get to sleep in, and Josh and I can have alone time in our own house, and I can actually have alone time in my own house. I plan to do a whole lot of NOTHING, and it's going to be great!  Well…I hope it is.  I'll report back after it happens. ;)  Anyways, that's all for now!

Until next time…

Trip to Bainbridge!

We have had a fun week.  On Monday, Bryant and I headed down to Bainbridge, GA (which is where Josh is from) to see family.  Josh's mom, sister, and his sister's 4 month old, Charlotte, were in town.  So we went down and hung out with them, as well as other family that lives there.  It was the first time we met Charlotte, and she was precious.  Although it was a short trip (we came back Wednesday), we had a fun time!  Then on Thursday, my mom came up to visit/babysit Bryant.  I had an event on Thursday that I was a vendor in…which unfortunately didn't go as good as hoped.  Oh well!  You have to participate in these things and try. :)  Anyway, it was a great reason to get to see my mom some!  She left this afternoon, but we had fun with her too!  Like I said, we have had a GREAT week!  Below are some pictures from our Bainbridge trip….mainly of Bryant and Charlotte.

 Size comparison…he's definitely bigger. ;)
Bryant's face is funny to me in this one...
 Cousin Love!
At the party eating ritz crackers.
 Aunt Meghan!
 Bryant: "Mmmm…she smells nice!"
Charlotte: "What is this kid doing???"
 Holding hands :)
 Bryant loves his Jama

I also had to include the following picture…it is from home.  Too cute! :)

Heeey!

We have had a pretty boring week.  We just did regular stuff, nothing too exciting.  We hung around the house a good bit.  We also went to the park some, went walking a lot, and ran lots of errands.  Sounds fun doesn't it?! ;)  I wasn't very good at taking pictures this week either.  However, I did get some and I also got a cute video.  Something new this week was Bryant has started waving and saying "hey".  He did it for the first time when we were at CVS.  I was just pushing him down the toothpaste aisle and all the sudden I hear him say "hey".  I turn around and he was waving to a 10ish looking year old girl.  It was so cute.  However, she did not say hey back, and I almost had to beat her up. :)  But seriously, now he has started waving and saying hey to people all the time.  He is such a cute, friendly little fellow!  Below is him saying "Heeeeeey!" and waving.

Isn't he cute and silly!  Below are some pictures I took of him this week.

I think I mentioned this in the last post, but this kid is addicted to TV right now…  He would have it on all the time if I let him.
 Reading his Bible :)
 Brushing his teeth
His outfit kept coming unsnapped, and it is 18 Months!!  I think my little man may be tall.
Coloring…this has quickly become one of his favorite things to do.
I think he is definitely right handed!

I should have a more exciting post next time because we are going to Bainbridge tomorrow to meet Bryant's 4 month old cousin, Charlotte (Josh's sister's little girl).  Oh, and to see Aunt Meghan and Jama! ;)

Until next time…

Words, Word, Words!

Hey Everyone!  Hope y'all are doing great!  We are doing fantastic here at the Lee household.  We had a very exciting Friday and Saturday.  On Friday Bryant and I decided to brave the heat and went to the park to play and have a picnic.  It was a lot of fun!  However, Bryant had only been playing on the playground for about 3 minutes when the sprinklers came on around us.  Well, of course he was no longer interested in playing on the playground, he only wanted to play in the sprinklers.  Unfortunately I had not brought him a change of clothes, so I only let him play in them a little.  He still enjoyed it, as you'll see from the pictures.  After that we had our picnic, and then played some more.  It was a good day.

 Our picnic!
SO excited about the sprinkler coming on
 Hahaha!
 Yummy, yummy!
Running back to get more food.

Somebody enjoyed their strawberries :)

Then on Saturday Josh and I took Bryant to the pool at Altadena Country Club (Josh has a membership through his work).  It was so much fun.  Bryant LOVES swimming, and Josh and I love playing with him.  We will definitely be going back. :)
So, besides our day to day adventures, I have another update on Bryant: his talking!  Bryant is seriously saying new words almost everyday.  It is such an exciting and cute time!  If I had to narrow it down, I would say his top ten words right now are the following:

1. Puppy (He points them out everywhere, even if I didn't notice them.)
2. No  (Yes, he has started saying no.  It's pretty funny.  He never says it just once, he always goes nononono…)
3. Ball
4. Uh Oh
5. TV  (He will say tv and point to the tv and remotes.  He likes to watch tv now…a lot. )
6. Ready, Set, Go  (He learned this from watching a video of his second cousins, Anna and Katie.  He says it all the time, and watch out, because once he says GO he is probably throwing something. :) )
7. Golf  (Josh is of course really proud of this one)
8. MaMa (That's right!  He is finally saying mama!!)
9. Paci  (He still LOVES his pacis.)
10. Here you go (He says this all the time, right before he hands you everything in sight! ;) )
*And of course he still says shoe, tree, daddy, car, etc…. a lot too!

This new stage of language development is so fun,  however, you definitely have to watch out because he will copy what you say.  It was cute because the other day I was putting him in his car seat and I handed him his paci.  Well I thought he had it and I let go, but he didn't and it started to fall.  I caught it, but as I did, I said "OH NO" in a very exaggerated tone.  Well next thing I know Bryant says "Oh No" in the exact same exaggerated way.  It was hilarious!!  (Although as I'm writing it I'm thinking it was definitely funnier if you were there… ;) )  Anyway, it was cute.
I guess that's it for now…oh, except one more thing.  One of Bryant's favorite things to do right now is to climb on the coffee table.  It's funny, but tiring, because Josh doesn't think it's safe and therefore doesn't want him to do it.  He loves it though, and unfortunately I was a big climber as a child, so…. payback! ;)  Okay, I am now ending what may be my longest post yet.  Below are a couple of cute pictures.

He's sneaky…I seriously turned away for a minute, and he was up there!
He loves getting on Sam's bed.  How precious is he?!!!
 4 PACIS…definitely qualifies as a paciholic!
"Mom, I really like this corn on the cob!"
YUM…his first taste of delicious, sweet corn on the cob

Until next time…

July 4th at the Lake!

We had a wonderful July 4th Holiday yesterday.  Josh, Bryant and I went to Lake Logan Martin.  Our friends, Courtney and Scott, have a lake house there.  We actually went up there last year for the 4th of July too!  Anyway, we had so much fun!  There were a total of 10 adults and 3 kids there.  We just rode around on the boat, tubed, and swam.  We also had awesome ribs, baked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese, and LOTS of dessert!  It was delicious!  As for Bryant, he was adorable.  He was seriously so laid back the entire time.  I don't think he fussed once.  He loved riding the boat and he loved swimming.  He also enjoyed tubing with mommy and daddy. :)  We of course didn't go very fast.  I only took my camera out the first part of the day to get some pictures because I didn't want to have to worry about it getting wet.  However, I still think I got lots of good ones.  Enjoy!  Oh, and I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday too!

"Moooommmmm…can we please go out on the boat already!!"
 Me and my baby!
Sweet boy on the boat for the first time this summer!
 Checking everything out.
He kept making the funniest faces!
 Loving it :)
Looking at the water and waves
Ready to go into the water!
 Tubing!!
Josh was so nervous the whole time.
 Dancing and singing with Rebecca
Me, Courtney, and Lindsey ready to tube!

Until next time…
