Busy, Busy!

We have had a good, but very busy week!  Bryant and I have had lots of playdates with friends!  We've gone over to friends houses, had friends over here, and met up at a place called Pump It Up!  It has been lots of fun.  Also, Josh got a new job!!!  I am SO proud of my husband.  He has been with Berney for about 9 months, and he has gotten promotions several times.  His most recent one happened last week.  He is now the Branch Manager over Birmingham.  It is so amazing to see his hard work rewarded and noticed and appreciated.  God has been so good and faithful!  The only negative…he has been working like crazy!!  But hey, it's no worse than football. ;)  Anyway, that's really all to share for now.  I have a few pictures of Bryant, but not many.  And they were all taken with my phone, so the quality isn't the best.  I have slacked this week.  I will try to do better next week. :)

Dad's SURPRISE 60th Birthday Weekend!!

What an AMAZING weekend this past weekend was.  My awesome dad turns 60 on Thursday, and we celebrated this past weekend.  All of my sisters and their husbands flew in, and we drove, to Opelika for several days to surprise my dad.  He was shocked!  I wish I could have captured the genuine shock, excitement, thankfulness, happiness, etc. on his face as each sibling arrived in town on Thursday.  It was great!  We also threw him a surprise birthday party on Saturday night.  Friends and family from all over came to celebrate with us.  It was such a great way to celebrate such a great man.  Plus, as always, it was SO much fun getting to see all of my sisters…and I guess my brother-in-laws too!  And of course my precious niece and nephew. :)  Besides the actual party on Saturday night, we also planned some fun daddy/daughter activities on Saturday.  We took dad to breakfast and then were planning to go hiking, but it was too cold, so we just shopped at a fun antique store instead.  Then, Saturday afternoon, in order to get dad out of the house while the surprise party got set up, we went bowling.  We seriously all had so much fun bowling, it really is a blast!  Also while in Opelika, on Friday we went to brunch and had a little celebration for Baby Lee and Baby White, and Friday night we celebrated Adelynn's 1st Birthday and Bryant's 2nd Birthday.  SO FUN!!!  I absolutely love my family and had the best time…I'm just sad now that it's over. :(  Anyway, below are tons of pictures from all of the fun!

Jama Visits and 2 Year Check-Up!

We have had a great week!  Jama came to visit from last Wednesday until Monday.  While she was here we had a lot of fun.  On Wednesday night we took Bryant out to dinner for his birthday!  I even let him have french fries for his birthday dinner!  He liked them A LOT!  Then on Thursday night Jama was sweet enough to stay home with Bryant and let Josh and I go out on a date night.  We went to a nice restaurant downtown called Hot and Hot Fish Market.  It was fabulous!!  On Friday Jama and I took Bryant to the McWane Center.  As always, he had a blast!  On Saturday Josh went and played golf with some guys, and Jama and I went to the zoo with the wife and kids of those guys.  We had a great time and the weather was beautiful…even if only for that one day.  All in all we had a great time with Jama!  Then Monday afternoon Bryant had his 2-year checkup.  It went great!  The doctor was very impressed with him and said everything looked good.  Bryant weighed exactly 30 lbs, which put him in the 70th percentile, and was 35 inches tall, which also put him in the 70th percentile.  I was so proud of my little man because they pricked his finger and squeezed it forever to get blood, but he never once whined or cried.  Then he had to get one shot, and he did cry, but only for a second.  He is such a good, big boy!!  Now we don't have to go back until he is 3 years old!  Below are some pictures from the past week.

Our Family!  Josh, me, Bryant, and Baby Girl…which you can't see my belly, but you can definitely see her presence in my expanded face! ;)

My Baby is TWO!!

My Precious Bryant,

You turn two today, and I can hardly believe it.  The past two years have really flown by.  I can not express in words the joy that being your mommy has brought me.  You truly are a gift from God to me and your daddy.  Your smile lights up the room, your laughter is contagious, and your snuggles melt my heart.  Hearing your little voice talking throughout the house is the best sound in the world.  Getting to be home with you all day is the greatest and most rewarding job on this earth.  I get to experience every milestone, watch the lightbulb go off in your head when you finally figure something out, teach you how to be independent, yet be right there when you need the security.  What a joy, what a privilege.  And although it is my job to teach you, you have also taught me so much over the past two years.  You have taught me how to love in a way that I didn't know was possible before.  You have taught me how to be okay with being vulnerable.  You have taught me that it's okay if I'm not perfect, because I'm not going to be and you think I'm awesome anyway.  You have taught me how to slow down and enjoy the moment.  You have taught me patience.  You have taught me how to trust God more through my need to know you will be okay.  You have taught me to be silly.  You have taught me to lighten up.  You have taught me that each day is a new day full of adventures.  You have taught me SO many things, and I feel so blessed for that.  I love you sweet boy, and I thank God for every day that he gives me the opportunity to be your mom.

Love,
Mommy
