AU-GA Game and McWane Center Trip!

We have had a good week.  This past Saturday we drove down to Auburn for the Auburn-Georgia game.  We tailgated with our friends Brandon & Emily (Luke & Ella) and then Josh went to the game with his friend Tommy…they are both Georgia fans and were sitting in the Georgia section.  It was definitely a great game to be at!  Bryant had a blast going nonstop from about 10:00 in the morning until 8:00 that night!  By the time we left I was absolutely exhausted.  Please note when you are looking at the pictures…we were not rooting for Auburn at this game.  The only reason Bryant has on an Auburn sweatshirt is because he soaked his shirt with water before it was even lunchtime.  So of course Emily loved getting to let us borrow Luke's sweatshirt.  ;)  Moving on, this past Wednesday we went to the McWane center with some friends.  Everyone had a lot of fun.  They even got to see and touch live reptiles.  And the exhibit on the top floor right now is trains.  So they got to ride a train and look at all the cool train models.  Bryant thought this was awesome.  He is really into trains now…in fact if you ask him what santa is bringing him he will tell you very excitedly, trains and train tracks!  He's such a cutie. :)  Last night some friends came over to eat pizza and watch the movie Elf.  The kids actually watched some of it.  The best part was the mailroom scene when Buddy the Elf dances.  The kids danced with him.  It was hysterical!  We had to rewind that part about 5 times!  I have a video of it, but am having trouble uploading…oh well.  You'll just have to take my word for it. :)  Lastly, Taylor is starting to scooch forward.  She is not crawling on all fours yet, but she can definitely move forward by scooching and get whatever she wants.  I doubt it will be long now until she's on all fours crawling!  Well, that's about all for us, below are lots of pictures, including Taylor's 29 week picture.

Taylor's First Solid Food!!

We have had a good week.  This past weekend was fun because Pops was in town.  He came up for some Continuing Education courses, and we got to hang out with him some on Saturday and Sunday.  Bryant always has SO much fun with Pops, so it was a treat.  On Sunday we had family pictures taken. This was the first time we have ever had them done, and I am so excited to see the results.   Julie did a great job and was more patient with the kids than I was.  Of course it's hard to get Taylor to look at the camera, but who knew it would be so difficult to get Bryant to actually look.  Oh well, I know she was able to get some good ones.  This week we have had play dates with friends two different days.  Like always, that was fun!  And also this week Bryant had his 2nd dentist appointment.  He did so good!  Unfortunately the dentist did say something about maybe trying to break him of the paci soon.  His bite is getting messed up from them.  Oh if he only knew how attached Bryant is…  My goal is to have it gone by the time he is three…which means I'll probably take it the day before his birthday. ;0) jk  And lastly, tonight I introduced Taylor to solid food!  I really didn't want to, but I figured she is 6 1/2 months old, so it was definitely time…if not past time.  I decided to bypass the rice cereal and just start with veggies/fruits.  So her first food was carrots!  She did pretty good the first several spoonfuls, but then she started gagging herself.  So I would say it was a success, but she probably got very little carrot in her actual tummy.  Anyway, that's all our excitement for now…below are lots of pictures. :)

Bryant getting a hair cut for our family pictures.
 She's just so darn cute!
 Pretty little thing.
 So silly :)

All the kids were eating lunch, so she wanted to eat something too!
Such a big boy at the dentist.
He got a sticker for doing so good, and he wanted it on his face. :)

Yummy homemade organic carrots!
She's waiting so patiently for her food.
Her first bite…she's not too sure of it.
 Chew, chew, chew :)
Looking at me like "What this be mom?"
No more, no more…I'd prefer my thumb ;)
She thought it was a fun time!

Until next time…

Taylor's 6 Month Checkup!

Taylor had her 6 month checkup today!  It went great!  She weighed in at 17 lbs 7 oz (80th percentile) and was 27 1/4 inches long (90th percentile).  So she is still a big girl.  The doctor was pleased with everything he saw.  Poor thing had to get her shots, but like her and Bryant both have always done, she cried while getting them and stopped immediately once I picked her up.  It was a very positive checkup. :)   Other than Taylor's doctor appointment, this week we played at the park with friends, and that's about it!  However this past weekend was a really fun weekend.  We were in Opelika for one of my best and oldest friend's wedding!  It was an absolutely beautiful wedding.  We had so much fun celebrating with the new Mr. & Mrs..  I have known Natalie since we were born…as we were in the hospital nursery together. ;)  But seriously, we have been friends since we were like 5…we were even so awesome that around the age of 9 we collected Lion King together.  Haha!  Ahh…the good times. :)  Anyway, it was so great to be a part of her big day and to see her so happy.  I guess that's all for this week, below are a few pictures.

Pretty excited about his new hot wheel car from Target.

It's funny because Bryant hated this jumpy thing, but Taylor absolutely LOVES it!!
 Cutie. Pie.
This pretty girl loves her thumb! (And no, she is not officially sitting up by herself…she only does it for a few seconds.)
