Memorial Day Weekend and No More Cast!!!

We have had a great week!!  Last Monday I ended up having to take Taylor to the Orthopedic office because her cast was falling off.  Literally.  Like her heel was no longer in the foot part but in the leg part.  So I was taking her in so that she could have a new cast put on.  However, while we there they did a new set of X-rays and found that Taylor was almost all the way healed!!  So instead of putting her in a cast for two more weeks, the doctor let her come home with no cast and strict orders to keep the leg protected for the next week.  Needless to say I was ecstatic.  And I'm happy to say we made it through the week with no incidents and Taylor seems to be doing great!!  Other than that last week was pretty low key.  We had a play date with friends on Thursday and the kids played in some baby pools and a slip and slide.  It was both kids first time playing in water this year and they loved it.  This weekend has been a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  On Saturday we went over to the Broach's house and swam in their neighborhood pool and then cooked out over there.  It was lots of fun!  Especially since they'd been gone for a week.  Bryant really missed Luke and Ella…and I missed my friend too. ;)  Then on Sunday we had a Gender Reveal Party for some of our good friends, and afterwards we cooked out at our house with a lot of them.  Then yesterday Josh played golf with some guys, and the kids and I went back over to Luke & Ella's house to swim and hang out.  So all in all it was a slightly busy, but extremely fun weekend!  Below are a ton of pictures from the past week.

They were being so cute dancing, and then when I took a picture of course Josh had to make a face!
Bryant was given a flag for his backyard golf course!
 Cuties
Can't seem to get a normal picture.
This is what happens when you tell them, 'Say Cheese'. Ha!
Not a big fan of her swim hat.
 Such a helper!
 Jumping in!
Sweet girl loved the water…it was like a bathtub.

Standing by herself for the first time since the cast came off!
She was cheering for Bryant's big car race!
This was his big car race!

Taygirl's first time in the big pool this year!
She loved when daddy swam her around.
 Bryant had a blast!

Poor thing, she just wanted to be outside with the big kids.
Taylor with Nana Bev (our friend Lauren's mom…Harper's grandmother)
Impromptu swim time means underwear only! They didn't seem to mind.

 Golf naked…why not!
All the fun from Sunday wore these two out!
Seriously…why can I get the 12 month old to cooperate, but not the 3 year old.  Still lookin cute!
 Best Frands!!!  Love these kiddos!
Emily put Taylor's hair into pigtails.  How ADORABLE are they!!!!

Taylor's 1st Birthday Party and Fun with Jama!

We have had an extremely fun week!!  Jama (Josh's mom) flew in last Wednesday evening.  We all had a great time during her visit.  On Friday she took Bryant to the McWane Center.  Taylor and I stayed home so she could nap.  I think both Bryant and Jama had a great time, even though it was really crowded.  Then Saturday was Taylor's Birthday Party!! My parents and my sister Hillary and her family all came up for it.  My parents stayed the weekend, but my sister could only stay for the party because they were headed down to the beach.  It was so great to see them even if only for a short while.  Taylor's party went fabulous!  I did brunch food and cupcakes, and the kids played and bounced in the bouncy house.  We are blessed with so many great friends. :)  Then on Sunday we dedicated Taylor at our church.  We did the same thing with Bryant and it is just a way to publicly proclaim that our children are God's children and we will raise them accordingly.  It was a special time…especially since it happened to be on Mother's Day.  And another note about Mother's Day, it was SO special that both Josh and I got to actually be with our mothers on Mother's Day.  We are so lucky to have two such amazing moms and grandmothers for our children. :)  On to the next day…on Monday Jama and I took the kids to the zoo.  As always they had so much fun!  I really do love going to the zoo.  That afternoon we took Jama to the airport so she could head back home.  Since then, Tuesday and Wednesday we have just played with friends and gotten back to the normal daily grind.  :)  Below are tons of pictures of all of the fun this past week has entailed!

Happy Birthday!
LOVE Taylor's chalkboard!!  My friend Emily did the writing on it…isn't it awesome! :)
