Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festivals!

It has been a fall activity filled week!  On Thursday I went with Bryant and his preschool to a pumpkin patch.  Bryant had a blast with all of his school friends riding the train and hayride, bouncing, and other stuff.  I really enjoyed it because I got to meet some of his school friends that he talks about.  It's nice to put a face with a name.  It was the perfect weather for the field trip too!  Then on Friday we went to the Arc of Shelby County for their Halloween event.  The kids did a few crafts, had story time, and then got to trick or treat.  Of course Bryant's favorite part was the trick or treating part.  And Taylor definitely picked up on it quickly. ;)  Also, this year for Halloween I decided to try my hand at making their costumes.  Bryant said he wanted to be a pumpkin, and I had seen a cute ghost costume for little girl's online.  So I bought all of the materials, which only cost $17, and I made their costumes.  It took a little time, but it was totally worth it.  I think they turned out so cute!!  Anyway, Friday night we went out to dinner with some friends to this new seafood kitchen restaurant called Pappadeaux.  It was so delicious and had a great atmosphere.  Then on Saturday we of course watched football.  Sunday we went to the Fall Festival at FBC Pelham.  This was the third year we have been to this fall festival, and once again it was so much fun.  The kids got to play different carnival games, bounce in bouncy houses, and eat.  And of course eat a little bit of the candy they got. ;)  All in all it has been a really fun week!

 How stinkin' cute is this?!?!
School Friends!! (Luke is in Bryant's class…Ella is in 4K, but she hung out with the 3K class during the field trip…since Emily couldn't be with two groups at once)

McWane Center, Park, & The Lake!!

Once again we have had a great week!  On Monday we went to the McWane Center with my friend Liz.  Jacob and Bryant had a blast playing together.  The only negative was that it was Columbus Day, which I didn't realize, so it was a good bit more crowded than I am use to.  But it definitely didn't seem to bother the kids. ;)  Then on Wednesday we went to the park with some friends.  It was a gorgeous day and the kids ran around playing for over 2 hours.  It was great!  On Friday I had my MOPs meeting.  I had had to miss the last two meetings so it was so good to be back.  Then Friday afternoon we headed down to Lake Martin for the weekend with our friends Thomas & Amber.  Thomas's parents live on Lake Martin and were out of town, so they opened their home to us and we had a blast.  The kids were with us Friday night and Saturday morning.  They got to enjoy the lake and go out on the boat.  Then I met my mom and she took them to Opelika for the rest of Saturday thru Sunday.  So Josh & I got to hang out kidless!!!  We watched a lot of football, grilled out, relaxed, and went to brunch on Sunday.  I actually slept for almost 9 hours straight Saturday night!  That was AMAZING!!  It was a much needed break, and we always love any time we get with Thomas & Amber…or as Bryant still calls her, Amberger. :)  So that sums up our week, below are some pictures.

Of course the first thing we had to do was go to the basketball goal.
