Preschool Starts, 18 Month Checkup, Etc...

The past 3 weeks have been super busy!  Bryant has continued to absolutely love kindergarten!  And we have all adjusted to the new, earlier schedule that that brings.  The week after Bryant started kindergarten, Taylor started 3K.  She was beyond ready.  She was so excited the day of Meet the Teacher.  She insisted on taking her book bag, and told me multiple times that I could just drop her off.  Ha!  We love her teachers and she is loving school so far.  The only negative is that I only signed her up for 2 days a week, and she wants to be going every day like Bryant.  Oh well!  Also, her teachers have been amazing about taking pictures to share with us these first several weeks.  So I have lots of adorable pictures of her at school.  A couple of weeks ago Thomas had his 18 month checkup.  It's crazy to believe my baby is 18 months old already.  He is an absolute mess.  He has an opinion of his own, and is quite strong willed.  He will literally throw himself on the floor and kick and scream.  But he is also so sweet and funny!  Unlike his brother and sister, he is average for size.  He weighed 24 lbs 13 oz and was 32.5 inches tall.  That put him in the 60th percentile for both.  Last week we had a dentist checkup for Taylor's teeth.  Although they are improving, the dentist said there still is improvement they need to see.  And there is still movement in one of the teeth.  But hopefully it will all continue to get better, and we don't go back for 6 weeks!  Oh, and a big negative, I was so excited when I wrote the last post because Taylor had stopped sucking her thumb due to the accident.  Well, after two weeks of not doing it, she suddenly started back. :(  And she is now sucking her thumb just as much as she did before.  The dentist said she was not surprised, but I was super bummed!!  Also last week we had a Parent's Breakfast at Bryant's school.  It was lots of fun!  The whole family got to go.  Bryant really enjoyed it.  Also, Taylor has started to take gymnastics once a week.  She absolutely loves it!  And Bryant is getting to do his golf once a week.  So that's great too!  Other than those things we have been going to the pool some and hanging out with friends still.  And the past two Sundays Josh was off, so that was a special treat!  He took Bryant to play golf both days, and yesterday we all went to the pool.  It was so nice.  Especially considering he won't have another day off until December!  Anyway, that's it for now, below are some pictures.

Excited for her first day of school!
She wanted me to take a picture of her book bag too. ;)

Lake Oconee, Opelika for Wells' Birthday, Kindergarten starts, & MORE!!

We have had a fun and busy past month or so.  We have made sure to squeeze in lots of play dates with friends the last several weeks of summer.  We went to the park several times, friends houses, Pump it Up, and Rush!  It was all fun as always.  About 3 weeks ago we got to go to Lake Oconee for the weekend.  It is a little getaway for the football staff before things crank up for the season.  This year we actually had our friends the Williams at the lake too.  It was so much fun getting to hang out with them and several of the other coaches and their families.  The place we stay is really nice and has an awesome pool with a  slide, a zero-entry area, and a splash pad.  So the kids had so much fun boating around the lake and at the pool.  It was great!  The following week we had Bryant's 5-year old checkup and Taylor's 3-year old checkup.  The consensus for both is that they are healthy and big!  Both were off the charts for height and Bryant was 97th in weight at 57 pounds and Taylor was 90th in weight at 37 pounds.  After they did awesome at the doctor, we went and had some ice cream to celebrate. :)  The last weekend of July the kids and I went to Opelika.  As I think I have shared, my twin sister and her family just moved back to the Opelika/Auburn area from Colorado.  It's VERY exciting!!  So her little boy Wells just turned 3, and we went to celebrate with them!  It was so great to get to be a part of the celebration, and I look forward to many more now that they live closer again.  The very next day, Monday, Bryant had meet the teacher for Kindergarten.  Then he started Kindergarten on Wednesday.  You read right.  My BABY started Kindergarten.  My mom came up the day before he started, and stayed until Friday.  Without her I'm not sure I would have handled it so well.  Especially since Josh is MIA right now with football.  Of course the fact that Bryant absolutely loves it helps the adjustment some too.  If only we didn't have to get up so early in the morning to go... ;)  Oh, I almost forgot.  So the morning of Meet the Teacher I decided to take the kids to Chickfila for breakfast as a special treat.  Well, before they even got to eat, Taylor fell on the stairs in the play place and busted her mouth.  She knocked her two front teeth back.  There was so much blood and screaming and the teeth had moved and one of them was a little loose.  It was awful!!!  We went to the dentist, and luckily she was able to keep them.  And we'll just be going back for X-rays the next several months and watching to make sure they don't abscess.  And there's a good chance they'll turn grey.  But a positive of the whole situation is that 1. She no longer has an overbite and 2. Because of the teeth no longer being buck and the pain from it all, Taylor quit sucking her thumb!!  So at least a little good came out of it, because I had no idea how I was going to get her to stop sucking her thumb!  Anyway, this past Saturday was fun because we got to go take pictures with Uga.  And on top of that, the kids and I got to see Josh for the first time in over a week!  That was great!!  Even if it was for only like 10 minutes...  Then that afternoon we had a Back to School Bash at the neighborhood pool.  It was lots of fun!  Well...I think that brings us to now.  Whew, we have had a lot going on the past month!  Below are some pictures from everything. :)
