APRIL: Spring Break Trip, Masters, G-Day, Taylor's B'day Party

The month of April has been a great month!  It started off with the kiddos having spring break.  It worked out perfectly because their spring break and my sister's kids spring break were the same week!  So we spent the week together in Myrtle Beach.  We stayed at a resort that was on the beach and had indoor waterparks.  It was so much fun!  The kids could do the slides, play in the lazy river, play basketball, swim in the pools, play in the kiddie areas, or just relax in the many hot tubs.  Then when we wanted to be outside we could hang out on the beach, or they had a little mini golf course and playground too.  We really didn't have to leave the resort for anything!  It was so much fun getting to hang out with my sis all week, and the kids had a blast with their cousins.  The weekend we got back was the weekend of the Master.  For the first time ever I actually got to go to the Masters with Josh!!  We went on Sunday, and actually got to be at Berckmans Place.  Josh was given two passes to it and it was absolutely amazing.  We spent the morning at Berckmans Place, then spent before lunchtime until middle afternoon out on the course, then went back to Berckmans Place to watch the remainder of the tournament.  At Berckmans Place they have three greens that are exact replicas of  the 7th, 14th, & 16th greens, and they take you through and let you play them.  I don't golf, but I think I must be decent at it because I totally beat Josh on every single hole!! (I told him I wouldn't let him live that down...and I'm not! 😆😆)  In fact, our group had two other men in it and on one green I beat all three of them! 😂 It was fun. 😉  It really was an experience unlike any other!  Unfortunately phones are not allowed so I have zero pictures.  But it was pretty nice/weird spending an entire day with Josh where he didn't have his phone.  We actually like talked and stuff. 😏  Jumping a few weeks forward, G-Day was on April 21st!  My sister Hillary and her family came up for that weekend.  It was so much fun having them here.  Bryant had baseball on Friday and Taylor had soccer on Saturday, so we did that.  Then Saturday afternoon we went to G-Day.  Besides the kids being a little restless, it was fun!  Josh's dad drove over for G-Day too so we got to see him for a tiny bit there.  Then the next day we had Taylor's 5th birthday party.  Her birthday isn't until tomorrow, but due to schedules we had to have it a little early.  Even though I tried to convince her to have her party somewhere else, she insisted on having it at Pump It Up just like last year.  Of course my sister and her fam stayed for the party, and then she had tons of her friends come too.  It was great!  This past weekend Josh played in a golf tournament all weekend, so it was just me and the kiddos.  We did a lot of fun stuff...but they said the most fun was swimming.  That's right, they convinced me to let them swim in our neighborhood pool even though the water was still super cold.  I will give them credit because they lasted about 45 minutes, and had a blast!  Well, that pretty much covers the major things in April.  Below are lots of pictures!

The Month of March and Easter!!

To say it's been awhile would be an understatement.  Unfortunately I have been so busy with life that I have just not taken the time to write about it.  It's been two months since my last post, and because I have a thousand photos and lots to share, I am going to just focus on the month of March and Easter in this post, and then I will write another post for April.  And then I will hopefully get back on track on keeping this up!  So March was an awesome month.  The entire month was filled with lots of baseball and soccer.  Bryant is loving baseball as always, and Taylor has really been enjoying her first time playing soccer!  Since they both have practice/games twice a week it has definitely kept us busy.  Also in March I went to a Brett Eldredge/Trace Adkins/Blake Shelton concert in Atlanta with a good friend.  It was so fun to have a night out, and it seriously was the best concert I have been to.  Such fun!  UGA's spring break fell in the middle of March this year, and Josh was once again off for the week.  We try to take an annual adults only trip during his spring break, and this year's trip did not disappoint.  We went to NYC!!!  Our good friends Jim & Holly went with us too.  We had an absolute blast.  We did Broadway, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, Top of the Rock, Liberty & Ellis Island, 9/11 Memorial Museum, and tons more.  This was Josh's first time in NYC, so we totally went the tourist route, with a little bit of local thrown in thanks to the rest of us having experience there.  It was an amazing trip.  And I have to give a shout out to my parents for keeping our kiddos while we were gone! :)  The end of March brought all things Easter related.  Both Taylor and Thomas had Easter egg hunts and parties at school.  We went to the annual ACC Easter Egg Hunt and Festivities, and the kids had a great time.  We also had a fun little dinner and egg hunt at our house with a couple of our close neighbor friends, which was super fun.  Also that weekend we went to our first UGA baseball game of the season.  It was perfect weather for a baseball game.  And the kids seemed to enjoy it for a little bit at least. ;) Then on Sunday we went to church to Celebrate Jesus' Resurrection!!  That afternoon we went and played 9 holes of golf as a family and just hung out.  It was a great day. :)  Below are TONS of pictures of all the fun!
