Bryant's 1st Beach Trip!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!  The Lee family definitely had a fun Memorial Day weekend because we were at the beach!  It was Bryant’s first, of hopefully many, trips to the beach.  We went down with my parents and my sister Hillary and her husband Evan.  It was so much fun!!  After a long drive down on Friday (4+ hours with a 3 month old is too long!) we finally got down there that evening.  We stayed at a condo in Seagrove Beach.  It was very nice.  On Friday evening we took Bryant down to the beach for the first time.  He seemed to really like it!  He enjoyed both the ocean and the sand on his feet.  He smiled A LOT!!! (Although of course I didn’t catch a lot of him smiling with the camera)

On Saturday we took Bryant down to the pool.  I had bought him an adorable swimsuit and hat in order to keep him covered so he wouldn’t get any sun.  And of course we used sunscreen and floats that would block the sun.  He really seemed to like the pool.  He would just lean back in his float and chill.  He also would kick a little and splash with his hands.  He has two different floats, and I think he liked his frog one the best…at least for now!

On Saturday evening we went to dinner at the Red Bar and I coordinated mine, Josh’s, and Bryant’s outfits so that we could take some family pictures.  We got a couple of good ones, but Bryant would not keep his hands out of his mouth and smile…so they aren’t as good as I had hoped.

 On Sunday we did the same thing as Saturday, played in the pool and ocean!  Also on Sunday Josh's cousin Mollie and her husband Matt came by the condo to meet Bryant.  They were down in the area and couldn't pass up the chance to meet the cutie pie!

All in all we had a wonderful trip.  The weather was beautiful, the company was excellent, and Bryant seemed to really enjoy it!  As you can tell I took LOTS of pictures, so I am going to include some more below! :)

16 Weeks Old!

Above is Bryant's 16 week old picture.  I tried to get a picture where he didn't have his fingers in his mouth, but he ALWAYS has his fingers in his mouth nowadays, so I just settled on the above one.  Also, as you can see, he is not on the couch like usual and that is because we are at the BEACH!!  YAY!!!  We are having so much fun!  Once we get back I will make sure to write all about it and post lots of pictures! :)

Jama Time!

Hey guys, it's me Bryant!  I wanted to tell everybody about my fun week!  My Jama, which is my daddy's mom, has been here since Sunday and just left today.  We had such a good time.  On Sunday she went with me and mommy to daddy's flag football tournament, and although daddy's team ended up losing in the championship game, it was still fun!  On Monday and Tuesday we just played a lot.  One of my favorite things is when she would put me on my playmat and turn on my music and sing and play with me.  She said the songs my playmat played were some of her favorites!  She also would sit me in front of the bathroom mirror and talk to me.  I really liked that too...and would smile really big like in the picture below!

On Wednesday me and mommy and Jama went to the mall.  Jama had bought me all of these cute outfits, but because I'm already such a big boy mommy decided we should exchange a few of them for even bigger sizes that I can wear later in the summer.  This one outfit is super duper cute, at least that's what mommy says, and I am going to wear it for Memorial Day at the beach!  So...I guess you can look forward to seeing that! :)  Anyways, all in all I had an awesome time with my Jama and I can't wait to see her again!

15 Weeks Old!

Bryant was 15 weeks old yesterday.  As you can see from his picture...he is naked except for his diaper.  The reason for this is yesterday when he got up and I was changing him I noticed these red blotches all over his front and back.  I didn't know what it was.  It looked like some kind of rash.  So I of course called the pediatrician and they told us just to monitor it and Bryant's behavior.  After explaining what it looked like the nurse said it sounded like it may be a heat rash...thus him being naked.  We decided just to let him cool of completely in case that's what was causing the rash.  The funniest part about it is we put him up on our kitchen counter on a blanket so that we could turn on the spotlights in the ceiling to really see the rash and he started posing.  It was hilarious!!  I told Josh to hurry and get the camera, and below is what he was able to catch.

I personally think these are some AWESOME pictures!  Perhaps there is a modeling career in Bryant's future... ;)

Family Visits!

Wow, what a busy week it has been!!  We have had lots of company come and go.  First, my mom and a childhood friend of hers came through on their way home from the airport Monday evening to have dinner.  It was lots of fun for mom to get to see Bryant again for a few hours, and for Joyce to meet him.  Then on Tuesday Josh's dad came into town.  He was here from Tuesday until Thursday.  I think he really enjoyed getting to see Bryant.  They just hung out and played and stuff.

Then on Friday, Josh's sister and brother-in-law came to see us.  They were headed from D.C. to the beach, and came through here for a while.  Chris had never met Bryant before, and Meghan had not seen him since he was born.  I think they really liked him! :)  We got to all go out to lunch together and then just visit at the house.  It was a lot of fun to see them...it just wasn't a long enough visit!  Hopefully we can see them again soon!  Oh yeah, and Harry, their dog, came too!

As you can see, we really have had a busy week...and it gets even busier because Josh's mom is coming tomorrow to stay until Thursday!  I can't help but wonder if all of these people would be visiting us if it were just Josh and I.... ;)  Anyway, I am including a video of Bryant talking below.  It's so funny because I write about how he talks all the time, but he was kind of quiet while Meghan and Chris were here.  Then, after they left I started talking to him and he just started talking and talking.  However, whenever I pull out the camera he stops talking as much, so I got Josh to film this from the side so that Bryant wouldn't know he was doing it.  It's pretty darn cute!

Mr. Personality

Bryant is starting to show more and more personality every day!  It is so fun to watch.  He talks and laughs all the time now.  He is quite a flirter too.  And although he will do it for others...he definitely does it the most for his mommy!  And yes, that does make me happy! ;)  He is also really starting to notice items around him.  For instance, he stares at his burp cloth a lot, and then will reach for it and hold on to it.  This is definitely something new....the reaching for stuff.  He doesn't do it a lot with toys, but I'm sure that's just a week or so away.  Below are pictures to show what I am talking about.

Something else he does a lot of is sucking on his fist.  I think I may have talked about this before, but he literally does it ALL THE TIME now!  I think he may be starting to teeth.  He drools a lot and is sucking on his fist all the time, and a couple of other signs.  I thought he was too young for it, but apparently they can start the teething process months before they actually cut their first tooth.  Who knew??!!  Anyway, he is of course cuter than ever and I will prove that by including some more pictures (although did you see the one at the top....SO CUTE! :) ).  Also, the adorable Ralph Lauren outfit he has on below with his initials on it is from his Aunt Meghan and Uncle Chris.  Thanks guys!

14 Weeks Old

For some reason he looks a lot older in this picture than last weeks...  I think maybe it's the blue jeans..?  I don't know...  Also, as you can probably tell, he was talking to me when I was taking the picture. :)  Anyway, we had a great weekend!  We mainly just hung out.  Nothing too exciting!  Here are a couple more pictures of Bryant from this weekend.

Tummy time and Fans!

Hey guys!  It's been awhile since I've written.  Although I know mommy has been keeping everyone updated on me, I wanted to write and say how I am doing.  I'm doing GREAT!!  There are a couple of new things to tell yall about I guess.  One is I am getting better and better at tummy time.  Although it's not my favorite, I have learned a new trick.  I've only done it once, but I'm planning to break it out again soon.  What I do is when mommy puts me on my tummy, I push and work and push until I roll myself over onto my back.  Then, I just lay there and look at mommy.  She of course oohhed and aahhed. :)

Something else new with me is I've discovered I really like fans.  I enjoy staring at them as they go round and round.  I love when mommy or daddy just lays me on their bed so I can watch the fan above their bed.  I know it might sound boring to some, but I really enjoy it...at least it suffices for right now. :)  Anyway, I'm going to include a couple more pictures of me.  I am sleeping in both...although mommy said to let yall know that does not mean I sleep all the time.  In fact, the opposite is probably true! :)  But hey, you gotta love me!
