Happy Mother's Day
Today was my first Mother's Day as a mother. It was so much fun! Josh was sweet and took Bryant this morning and let me sleep a little extra, and they went and surprised me with some yummy Dunkin Donuts for breakfast! Then we just all hung out the rest of the day. However, although it was a special day for me, my mind kept wandering to my mother. See, as some of you know and others of you don't, I have the best mom in the world! She is not only a great mom, but she is also a great friend. I was so lucky to have a mom that stayed home with me when I was little, just like I am getting to do with Bryant. I was also so lucky to have a mom that taught me about Jesus, just like I am trying to do with Bryant. Growing up she was always there for me. She was my #1 supporter and fan. And even though I probably made her pull her hair out during my teenage years, she never gave up on me. She always loved me and prayed for me and was patient with me. Now, as an adult, she is a mom that I can still always depend on. She is someone I can turn to for advice. She is a shoulder I can cry on. She is a person I can celebrate the daily joys of life with. She is a mentor I can look up to. And for the first Mother's Day ever, she is simply another mother I can celebrate this day with! I Love You Mom! I pray I can be as amazing a mom to Bryant as you have been to me!
Below is a picture of little Bryant with his mother.....ME! :) Man I'm lucky!
