Sam's Fam: "Momma said there'd be days like this!"

Well, we have had some not great days here at the Lee household! They haven't been horrible or anything, but they haven't been the best. Let's see...let's go back to Thursday. On Thursday Bryant had to go get his 12 month vaccinations. He wasn't able to get them when he went for his checkup because he was sick. Well, before he went to get the shots he fell and hit his forehead really hard on Josh's shin. Josh said his shin was hurting, so he knew poor Bryant's head was hurt. He cried, and he got a red knot on his head. Then we took him to get his shots. He cried, and he got little marks and slight bruises on his leg. Then, that afternoon I had him in the bathtub, and he slipped and busted his chin on the side of the bathtub. There was blood coming out of his mouth and full fledged screaming! It was awful!! I finally calmed him down and looked in his mouth, and although I couldn't tell where the blood came from, I did notice that he was cutting a new tooth on the bottom! So needless to say, the poor guy had a rough day!!

Next comes Friday. Friday was just rough for Bryant because he was kind of fussy. He had a runny nose and a little fever. Not sure if it was the vaccinations, teething, or a cold...which I could have given him, but something had him not feeling top notch. Then, Josh and I took dinner to some friends, and on the way out to the car I dropped the homemade baked beans and the dish busted and the baked beans went everywhere in my quilted carrier! That was not fun! Plus, then we only had chips to take them with the burgers!

We now have TWO beggars every time we eat!

Then came Saturday. Bryant was once again just super fussy yesterday. He had the runny nose and fever thing again! But, on top of that he somehow woke up with the worst diaper rash he has ever had!! I just let him walk around naked for a while to give his poor tushy some relief. I am praying it gets completely better soon.

So in order to help with his diaper rash I put desitin on it. Well, apparently I forgot to put the lid back on the desitin, and when I thought Bryant was in his room reading, he was actually playing in the desitin! It was a mess!! As you momma's know, that stuff is thick, and it was a pain to get the thick layer off of Bryant's hands, and everywhere else! I just thank the Lord that he had his paci in his mouth and didn't eat it!!

So...as you can see, we have had some not-the-best-ever days. But I of course would not trade any of it! I LOVE my stay-at-home-mom crazy, tiring life!! :) I know that before I know it my baby will be grown! I got a small glimpse of his independence at the park this weekend. Josh was playing golf, so since the weather was gorgeous Bryant and I went to the park. Well, at first he stayed right by me and just looked around, but then he just took off! Now that he can walk, he was just walking off not concerned at all about where I was. :( It made me proud and sad at the same time...
