Happy Anniversary!!

Mr. & Mrs. Lee

Today is mine and Josh's anniversary.  Man, what a wonderful, crazy 3 years it has been.  I'll be honest, and I don't mean this in a bad way, but it seems longer than three years!  I think that's because so much has changed for us in such a short time.  For instance, we had only been married right at a year when we found out we were going to have a baby.  What an AMAZING journey that has been.  And then of course there was the whole career change process, which I feel like that alone was three years. ;) jk  On a serious note, above anything else I am feeling today, I feel blessed.  God has given me a good man.  He is hard-working, loving, patient…to an extent, fun, funny, and most of all loves the Lord.  When I married Josh three years ago, I thought I knew him.  Well I tell you what, I have learned A LOT since then.  I have learned what an amazing work ethic he has.  I have learned that he will literally do anything to help another person.  I have watched him become a father, and an awesome one at that.  I have watched him grow in his relationship with the Lord.  I have experienced his love, encouragement, and dedication to our marriage and our family.  Like I said, I am blessed.  And I look forward to continuing to grow and learn and laugh and live together for the next 50+ years!

My husband!!!

Don't worry, I have a few pictures of Bryant for y'all too. :)  He's passed out in a couple of them!

He fell asleep during our walk…he was out!
Now that looks like some good sleeping!
 He's on a mission...
Who knew sidewalks were fun… :)

Until next time…

Matt & Mollie Visit!

We had a super fun weekend!  Josh's cousin Mollie, and her husband Matt, came to visit from Bainbridge.  They got here late Friday night.  We all stayed up until about midnight (which was 1:00 a.m. their time) talking.  I don't know when the last time I stayed up that late was!  Then on Saturday we did a lot.  After Bryant's morning nap, we ate lunch at Full Moon BBQ.  Then we headed out to the Barber Motorsports Park.  They were having the Triumph Superbike Classic.  Basically it was motorcycles racing.  It was really cool.  The coolest part about it was that Josh was given the tickets at his work for free.  Two of the tickets were for the Paddock Club, which turned out to be an indoor area that had free food and drinks, and two were general admission.  Well after encountering several different really nice people, we all 4 ended up in the Paddock Club!!  Which was totally awesome, since one ticket to there would have cost $200! It was a great experience.  We all had so much fun, including Bryant.  The racing was really neat to watch, especially since we weren't sitting out in the smoldering heat!  Below are some pictures:

With Matt & Mollie on the shuttle to the Paddock Club
I thought this was a sweet picture
The wind got in his eyes and he didn't like it!
Our view from the Paddock Club
As you can see, the motorcyclists were going really fast!

This is how he pretends to talk on the phone.  He holds the phone back, like above, and just starts talking.  It's hilarious!
 Having Fun!!
"Can I pleeeeeeeease have the phone in your hands?"
Love this precious boy!

After our fun adventure at Barber Motorsports Park, we headed home to get our swimsuits.  Then we went over to Mollie's cousin's house, Barry.  He lives in Helena, only about 10 minutes from Josh and I.  We went over there and swam and ate hamburgers and hotdogs that Barry grilled.  It was a blast!  Josh got to see how much of a daredevil Bryant is around water.  He would just walk straight into the pool without thinking twice.  Thank goodness Josh or I were always there.  Below are some pictures:

 Loving swimming with his daddy.
He kept doing this…it was hilarious!
He wanted to sit with Lala (aka Mollie)

Below are three action shots.  He thought it was fun to walk between the rails to jump in.

All dried off and redressed after swimming!

We had planned to go the the Birmingham Barons vs. Mississippi Braves game Saturday night, but that didn't happen.  Bryant had not had a nap since the morning, and he was exhausted.  So we stayed at Barry's until 8:00 and then headed home.  Needless to say, after our long day, we all ended up calling it a decently early night.  Then on Sunday we went to church and to lunch.  After that Matt & Mollie left to head home.  It was so much fun.  Bryant loved hanging out with them, and Josh and I did too!  Hopefully they will come see us again soon! …Or we will have to make a weekend trip to Bainbridge. :)

Until next time…

Graduation/Send-Off Party for Dr. Evan :)

We had a really fun weekend.  We went to Opelika on Friday and stayed until Monday (Josh left Saturday night).  We got to spend lots of time with my twin sister, Hillary, who left yesterday to move to Colorado.  Her husband, Evan, just finished getting his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  So, Saturday night Hillary and Mrs. Dorenda (his mom) threw a party for him…although it was also kind of a send-off party for both of them.  It was a lot of fun.  Also on Saturday we took Bryant swimming.  Sadly he wasn't feeling top notch apparently and didn't have a ton of fun.  He did enjoy it a little bit though.  Other than that we just hung out, watched some U.S. Open, and just enjoyed the last few days with Hillary and Evan before they moved out west.  They are starting their own Chiropractic Office in Lafayette, CO and I couldn't be more proud of them.  I have been excited for them the whole time, but also a little sad for myself.  However, I handled the goodbye much better than anticipated.  I probably won't see my sister, who is my best friend, again until Christmas, but I didn't cry.  Go me! ;)  Anyway, below are a few pictures from the weekend, although I was really bad about taking pictures…oh well!

 Life is so hard.
 Swimming with daddy
Hillary's cute sign! (Evan's brother and sister both just finished college, and we celebrated them too!)

 My Family!
 Such a cutie pie!

Also, I have to include a couple of pictures of Bryant from last Thursday.  Thursday is one of my laundry days, and as almost always, Bryant was being such a helper. ;)

What a mess :)

Until next time…

Summertime!

I am loving some summer time!  The weather is so nice, and we are getting to enjoy the outdoors!  We have had a great week.  This past weekend a good friend of our's got married.  Unfortunately, we couldn't find anyone to watch Bryant.  Fortunately, sort of, some other friends of ours couldn't find a babysitter either.  So Josh and his friend Cale went to the wedding, since they were closest to the groom, and Danielle and I stayed at her house with our kiddos and hung out.  It was so much fun!  She has a little girl that is 20 months old, and twin boys on the way.  We don't get to see them as much as we would like because they live 45 minutes away. :(  On Sunday we went to church and had mommy-Bryant time while Josh went to the Regions Classic Golf Tournament with a friend.  On Tuesday Bryant started the summer session of Mother Day's Out.  It is only for six weeks, but I am excited about it.  It was sad though because I had forgotten I had a dentist appointment, and ended up spending half of my "time off" at the dentist.  Oh well, the house will just stay dirty until next Tuesday. :)  On Wednesday we went to storytime at the library again.  It was fun, although Bryant literally would not sit down the whole time.  He just kept walking around looking at everybody.  He's silly.  The craft this week was something really special…  It has to do with what Sunday is, but I can't say anymore because it is a surprise for Josh. ;)  Today, Thursday, we went to the pool with some friends from my MOPS group.  We had so much fun!  Bryant got to swim and play in the pool for 2 hours!  And he had a blast having other kids to play with.  I am hoping for an amazing afternoon nap since I not only let him skip his morning nap, but he played really hard.  He has been asleep for one hour so far, so we'll see! *fingers crossed*  Well, that's all that is new with us this week.  We are leaving tomorrow to go to Opelika for the weekend, so I'm sure I'll have a post about that soon.  Below are a few pictures from the week.  Also, I have included the two videos I mentioned a few posts back.  I finally was able to get them uploaded.  One is of Bryant saying "Baby" and the other is of Bryant playing with Tyler…sort of.

The scrunched up face look is his new look.  Not sure why he likes it so much.
He is the future "Uncle Sam"

Scrunched up face again...
and again…

I forgot to mention that I rearranged Bryant's room a little on Tuesday.  I think it looks much better and bigger!  Not sure why I didn't have it like this all along.

The rest of the pictures are from our pool trip today!

 Having a snack!
Snack time with his friend Cliff (who is 5)

Fun Times!

Here are the videos of my cutie pie.

Until next time…

P.S. Bryant woke up while I was working on this post. :(  So much for an amazing nap…he only slept 1 1/2 hours.

Bryant's 1st Haircut!

Well, I took Bryant to get his hair cut today.  Why in the world I felt so sad about it I don't know.  I guess it's one of those motherhood things.  Anyway, I thought his hair was cute the way it was, but Josh had really been wanting me to get the back cut.  And after all the "business up front, party in the back" comments my loving family gave me at the beach, I decided to give in.  So, with much hesitation, I took him to the Pelham Barber Shop.  The ladies there were fabulous!  It was a great experience, and I have some good photos and a certificate to remember it by.  Below are some before, during, and after photos!

BEFORE:

DURING:

He wasn't so sure about it when we first put him in the chair
But he got better…although the water felt weird :)
Luckily they had some kid's books…that worked pretty well for distraction

AFTER:

 Look at my big boy!
 So grown :)

And most importantly…his certificate ;)

Thank you Ms. Dawn!!

So, besides getting his hair cut, there are a couple of other "firsts" Bryant has had this week.  Let's see…Tuesday he had his first popsicle!  It was delicious, and homemade of course. :)  It was pureed peaches, blueberries, and a tiny bit of honey!  He really liked it, plus I think it helped his sore gums.  Which let me add, one of his molars (he is getting all four of them) popped through the skin yesterday!  So YAY, maybe the worst part (which for him is usually the movement below the gums) is close to over!  Anyway, like I said, he really liked the popsicle.

 "What's this…?"
 "Hmm…it tastes pretty good."
"Yep, I like it!" :)

The other "first" was that Bryant went to storytime at the Library yesterday.  It was a lot of fun.  They sang a couple of songs, read a couple of books, and made a craft.  Bryant seemed to really enjoy it, so I am going to try to take him every Wednesday.

 Running around the room
This was the board they used for the stories
Bryant's craft.  Didn't he do a great job! ;)  But seriously, a few of the scribbles are his…but then he just wanted to eat the crayons.

Well, that's all that is new with us right now.  I'll write again soon!

Until next time…
