Poppi AND Pops Visit!

This weekend we were lucky enough to have both my dad and Josh's dad in town.  We all had a blast! My dad was in town for some continuing education classes at UAB.  Josh's dad came in town just to visit and go to Alabama's practice on Saturday.  On Friday we all went out to dinner and just hung out. Then Saturday morning I went and got a pedicure. :)  While I did that, everyone else, minus Pops who was in classes, took Bryant and Sam to the park.  They had a really fun time.  Bryant loves playing in the doggie splash pad! :)  Then Saturday afternoon Josh and his dad went to Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama's practice.  Saturday night we grilled hamburgers and hung out around the house.  All in all it was a fun and eventful weekend!  Below are some pictures from the weekend.

Riding Pop's shoulders
Only my dad would see my neighbor throwing away a cardboard box and ask them if he could have it, and then take it to the hill to ride down it.  Such a kid at heart! :)  Oh, and Bryant LOVED it!
So FUN!!

First Week with Harper!

Well, we made it through our first week keeping Harper, and you know what, it actually went pretty smoothly.  I think both kids have done great!  Me however…I'm pooped!!  For some reason having another child is like double the work…who knew! ;)  Seriously though, I have been very relieved at how well Bryant has adjusted.  He really likes Harper.  He wonders constantly where "baby" is, and he loves always patting her belly or head, grabbing her feet, or placing his head on her tummy.  Unfortunately he also likes to help bounce her in the bouncy seat and swing her in the swing.  If I place Harper in one of those or on the play mat, I have to watch him very closely.  Lucky for us, Harper is pretty chill.  I'm just glad he likes her.  He could have been extremely jealous, but he's not.  We have ventured out several times the past week.  We have gone to the bank, to the park twice, and to Publix.  I tell you what, it is much more difficult getting out with a toddler and baby than I thought it would be.  It makes the times it is just me and Bryant seem SOOO easy. :)  However, I'm sure I will get more and more use to it and better at it as time goes by.  But for now, we have made it through a week with flying colors!  Below are some pictures of Bryant and Harper!

 Introducing…HARPER!

Our first stroller walk.  And fyi…yes, this thing is heavy! ;)

Our first park visit, this is what Harper did the entire time.  I guess she wasn't very impressed. :)
She was smiling at him as he patted her belly and talked to her.
 My baby!
He looks so big here.. :(  And it's a 24 month outfit…  Where has time gone!
This is what Harper does with the playmat… (Oh, and she is obsessed with that giraffe!)

Weekend at Lake Martin!

This weekend the whole family went to the lake with my friend Natalie.  We all four had a blast!!  We spent all day Saturday and Sunday cruising on the lake!  Bryant had such a good time.  And of course Josh and I enjoyed it too.  However, I think Sampson had the most fun of all!  He LOVED it!  He loved cruising on the boat, and swimming…as we all did!  Below are TONS of pictures from our trip.

Checking out the boat for the first time

Trip to Opelika!

Bryant and I took a quick trip to Opelika on Sunday through today.  We had so much fun.  As I have mentioned briefly, I am going to start keeping a friend of mine's 8 week old little girl when she goes back to work THIS Thursday!  So, before that began, I wanted to get in one more midweek trip down to Opelika.  We got down there on Sunday afternoon.  We swam and went to the park and just hung out.  It was fun!

Swimming with Pops!
 Stepping right into the pool
Jojo and Gran had fun watching him
He LOVES the pool noodles!

On Monday we went to Opelika Sportsplex with my mom.  She worked out for a little bit, and Bryant and I hung out at the splash pad.  It is really nice, and Bryant had a blast!  Then that night we went out to dinner and went to another park!

He was the only kid there almost the whole time!
He climbed the stairs and slid by himself over and over again!
Loves playing with the water
Playing at the park!

Today we hung out until lunch, and then headed back home.  I feel so blessed to live close enough to my parents to be able to do quick trips like this.  It is so much fun for all of us!!

Below are a few more pictures from the past several days.  Enjoy!!

This is how we picked Bryant up from church on Sunday…  Apparently he had thrown water all over himself, so they had to take off his outfit.  I have no idea where he got the water from…they must have given it to him!  Anyway, how cute is he!!

One more note,  although I hope to continue to keep the blog updated as often as I have been, please be patient with me if I don't.  Mine and Bryant's life is about to change A LOT with the new baby staying with us from 7-5 5 days a week, and I know we will have an adjustment period.  However, I promise to update it at least once a week! :)

Until next time…
