Taylor's 9 Month Checkup!

This past Monday we had Taylor's 9 month checkup and Bryant's 3 year checkup.  Both went really well.  They are both healthy, thriving kids. :)  Taylor weighed in at 19 lbs 4 oz (60th percentile) and was 28 1/4 inches tall (70th percentile).  So most kids Taylor's age have already doubled their weight, but Taylor has not.  Although since she was over 10 lbs at birth that is completely okay. ;)  As for Bryant, he weighed 37 lbs 8 oz (90th percentile) and was 39 inches (80th percentile).  He is a tall, solid boy!  I've talked a lot about Bryant in the last several posts, so this post I'm gonna talk about Taylor!  First off, Taylor has several names…she goes by TayTay, Taygirl, and Baby Taylor. :)  She is so cute right now, but such a mess.  She loves to mess with anything you are playing with or working on at the time.  She likes to destroy things.  For instance, don't build a beautiful LEGO masterpiece because as soon as you place the last piece she will be knocking it down and laughing.  She also likes to play in Sam's water… :/  She likes to pull up on everything.  She had been just pulling up to her knees, but just recently started pulling up all the way to her feet.  She has been pulling up by the steps a lot, and for the first time today she actually climbed up the first step.  I am not excited about this.  Her transportation of choice is still the army crawl, although she will get up on all fours and actually crawl like that occasionally.  She is just not as fast that way, so she always ends up reverting back to the army crawl.  She is a great eater, and an okay sleeper.  She has actually slept through the night a total of 3 times…which have all happened in the past few weeks.  And by sleep through the night I mean like 7:30-6:30!!!  Her talking just consists of the typical baby "baba's" and babble.  Today for the first time she called Josh "dada" and "dade".  Still no "mama" though, but that will come soon enough!  I am a little worried that Taylor is going to be a little mischievous…but we'll just take care of that as it comes. ;)   She is as precious as can be, and we just love her so much!  Below are lots of pictures, including several from our zoo trip this week!

 Cute Mess!
Bryant wanted to take a nap with Taylor in her crib.
Will not leave Sam's water and food alone.  I'm too embarrassed to admit how many times I've had to swipe dog food out of her mouth.
Passed out on the couch he was so tired.
We all love our van…there's room to crawl in it! (not while driving of course. ;) )
 Helping me unload the dishwasher!
Playing the drums at the zoo.
 Cutest giraffes I've ever seen!
You only need one stroller for four kids. :)
Actually sitting in a stroller is way overrated.

They actually got to watch the pelicans be fed.

Bryant got to pet the goat.
 Bouncy house time!
 Getting ready to dive down...
You can't walk away with her in the bouncy house now…she slides down the slide and you have to make sure to be there to catch her.  She loves it!

Until next time…

We. Are. POTTY-TRAINED!!!

We have had an extremely productive week here at the Lee household.  I decided Monday morning that I would attempt to potty train Bryant.  We had been casually using the potty some, but nothing serious.  So Monday morning I stripped him down and asked him about every 20 minutes or so all day to go to the bathroom.  Of course a little bribery helped…1 M&M for trying, 3 for going.  He had one accident about 3 hours into training while eating lunch, but that was it!  Then on Tuesday I left him without underwear on for half the day, and put underwear on him the other half.  I still asked him to go potty some, but he also went on his own some.  We had no accidents that day.  On Wednesday he was dressed all day, and went to the bathroom by himself for the most part.  If I noticed it had been awhile I would ask him to try, but that was it.  Still no more accidents.  He is potty-trained.  Yesterday we were gone from the house for  2-3 hours and he was accident free.  I am SO proud of him!!  It was so much easier than I thought it would be.  However, I do think since I waited until he was right at 3 that he was ready, and therefore it was easier.  Regardless, I now have me a diaper free big boy!!! (Well, he still wears a diaper at night…we'll tackle that a little later).  Below are a few pictures from this week.

Bryant's Porcelain Throne!
 Playing together :)
Taylor caught in midaction of attempting to pull herself up to her feet!!

 He is so silly.
He didn't want me to take his picture, so he closed his eyes… hmm...
 "Look mommy, I'm a drum!"
Taylor has started trying to climb the stairs.  She can't yet…but I dread the day she can.
 Beautiful Girl!
Sweet Taylor looking like a vampire with her teeth, just like her brother!
 Playing some basketball.
Icing mustache!! The best kind. :)
 Bath time fun!
 Having fun too!
 She is my sweetie. :)
 Pantless = Potty training
Why oh why does Taylor have to love the froggy potty so much.  It's so gross!
Having fun with Mrs. Emily at the donut shop!
 Sweet girl
In town road trips are fun!!
Not sure why the trash can is so much fun to climb on, but apparently this day it was. Yuck.
He's such a sweet boy.

Until next time…

BRYANT IS THREE!!! *warning, this is a long, but awesome post* ;-)

It's hard to believe, but Bryant is officially three.  Where oh where does the time go.  I can remember bringing him home from the hospital.  I was SO emotional.  Obviously part of it was hormones and lack of sleep, but a lot of it was caused by this feeling that my heart was now living outside of my body.  I would do anything and everything to always protect this little being that God had entrusted to me.  Of course I still feel this way.  Even though he tells me he is a big boy now, he is still my little baby. :)  And in honor of my little baby, I have pulled out some pictures from the last three years to share.  I am also going to write a list of things he loves right now.  Of course I'm writing these things to share with y'all, but I'm also doing it so that I will never forget what my sweet boy was like at this age.  Also, if you are wondering if I cried while going through all of his pictures, the answer is yes. I am fully aware and have accepted the fact that I am a huge sap when it comes to my kids. :)

Bryant's Favorite Things:
1. Favorite Sport: Golf - the kid has been obsessed with golf since before he was 2.  And he is really good at it.  His favorite golfer is Tiger Woods, and he will watch golf with Josh for hours.  He will also play golf for hours at a time.
2. Favorite Food: Meatloaf - I know this seems weird, but the kid is obsessed with some meatloaf.  I make mine very plain, and he loves it.  He literally asks me for meatloaf any time I am cooking dinner.  It's funny.
3. Favorite Fast Food: Chickfila - obviously it's delicious, but the main reason it's his favorite is because I don't let him eat at any other fast food place.
3. Favorite Color: Orange
4. Favorite TV show: Team Umizoomi - although he loves a lot of other shows, this is still his favorite.  And of course the math nerd in me loves that. :)
5. Favorite movie: Cars - we haven't really shown Bryant any movies besides Cars and Planes.  However, he really does like the Cars movie and gets to watch a little bit of it a lot of nights right before bedtime with mommy and daddy in their bed.  It's a special time.
6. Favorite music: Seeds of Worship CD - he loves this worship CD I play for him.  It puts scripture to song, and is actually really good.  And I of course love it because he already has scripture in his heart at this young age.
7. Favorite toy: Honestly, I don't think he has a favorite toy…unless you count golf.  He really enjoys playing with trains, cars, and dump trucks.  He also likes to play with anything that Taylor is playing with at the time. ;)

- Bryant still has a pacifier. We are officially down to one, and I am just waiting for him to tear it up so I can tell him that there aren't anymore.  I have good intentions of this happening in the next few months. However it's hard because Bryant never had a blankie or stuffed animal or anything like that, his "comfort" thing was always his paci.
- Bryant is not potty trained.  This is hopefully going to happen in the next month.  He does not have much interest in going on the potty, although he will for me some times.  It is going to take me actually taking the time to stay home and do it.  Honestly, I just haven't wanted to fool with it.
- Bryant says the funniest things.  I need to start writing down all the stuff he says.  It's hilarious!
- Bryant is very compassionate for his age I think.  When I took a spiritual gifts test mine came out as mercy and compassion, so I definitely think this comes more from me than Josh. ;) But it is sweet.  He has a genuine concern for others and wants to make people happy.
- Bryant is all boy.  He is nonstop energy and he likes to rough play.  This gets him in trouble every now and then, but there is no malice behind it…he's just being a boy!

Well…for those that actually stuck with me and read all of that, I am going to stop here.  I hope you enjoyed the glimpse into what Bryant is like.  He's pretty much the best little boy ever!! :)

Year 1:

Year 2:

Year 3:

(Btw…I am patting myself on the back right now because I actually narrowed down thousands of pictures to only 25 per year…a total of 75.  I left out some good ones, but oh well, I figured no one would look at thousands…except for me of course ;) )

Until next time…
