Thanksgiving in Bainbridge!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know we did!  This was the first time in 10 years that Josh didn't have to actually work on Thanksgiving.  Being a football coach means you never get to actually go anywhere on Thanksgiving.  We have been so blessed the past several years that my parents and sister/brother-in-law have come up to Birmingham to spend Thanksgiving with us.  This year, since we could actually go somewhere, we went to Bainbridge.  We were there Wednesday evening thru Sunday afternoon.  It was fun to get to hang out and relax with lots of family.  Bryant had a blast too!  He loved getting to see everyone, a.k.a. the attention he got, but there was one person in particular he had the most fun with: Brody.  One of Josh's cousins has a 3 1/2 year old little boy named Brody, and they were there.  Bryant had so much fun playing with him.  They were super cute to watch.  It was nice because they really did keep each other entertained, and therefore I actually got to spend some time with the adults too!  All in all it was a great holiday!  Below are tons of pictures from our trip.

Well…as you can see there are no pictures.  I am SO sorry.  I actually wrote this post the beginning of this week, but blogger has been a pain all week.  They are telling me that Picasa, which is apparently where they store all photos I upload on the blog, has reached it's maximum 1 GB free storage.  Therefore I would have to pay a monthly fee to get more storage.  However, when I click on it it shows my storage as being at 16%. After researching, I found out that LOTS of other bloggers have gotten this notice in the past 2 weeks, including a couple of friends I asked who blog.  Therefore something is screwy, and I am not paying for a blog that is suppose to be free.  Therefore I am going to try to figure out something else to do…  In the meantime I have uploaded the pictures from Thanksgiving that I was going to put on the blog onto Facebook.  They are in an album titled "Thanksgiving in Bainbridge".  Hopefully most of you are friends with me and will be able to see them.  They are super cute!!!

Well, I hope to have this issue resolved soon, but until then…

Feeling better and back to crazy!

We are feeling so much better at our household this week.  Praise the Lord!!  And what comes with feeling better…a crazy, energetic 21 month old!  It's so nice to see Bryant acting 100% like himself.  I feel like lately I've updated on us and what we've been up to, but not as much so on what Bryant is like now-a-days, so here goes!  Bryant's favorite things right now include golf, football, puzzles, trains, coloring, Sampson, and Team Umizoomi!  He still plays with his golf clubs all the time, and of course any toy he has that is shaped like a ball…or even if it's not…is fair game to hit.  He really does have amazing hand-eye coordination.  He is also obsessed with his footballs.  He has 3 different ones, all different sizes, and he likes to throw them all.  He also likes to tackle you if you have it…hmmm…what has Josh been teaching him. :)  Another thing that has really gotten his interest lately is puzzles.  He has one puzzle in particular that is a sports puzzle that he loves.  He dumps out the pieces, and then names each sport as he puts the pieces back in their spots.  It's super cute.  Also, as is typical of most little boys, he has become big on trains.  You can actually hear trains from our house, and I never much noticed them, but now I do.  Every time he hears them he stops whatever he is doing and listens.  Then he says "choo choo".  So I have now realized that we actually can hear trains a lot throughout the day.  He also enjoys coloring a lot.  Although, if I'm honest, I think he really likes to just flip through the coloring books and push the crayons around.  However, he does color some.  Another obsession…Sampson.  Our poor dog.  Life would be so much easier for him if he just decided to like Bryant, but he doesn't.  And Bryant adores him.  He chases him all over the house, and wants to always be petting him and messing with him.  And if Sam disappears or gets somewhere out of Bryant's reach, Bryant gets so upset and sadly walks around the house saying, "puppy dog, puppy dog, puppy dog".  It's quite pitiful.  The last obsession for Bryant right now is the cartoon Team Umizoomi.  He LOVES it!!  He really is not interested in watching any other cartoons, he only wants Team Umizoomi.  Which, being the nerd I am, I actually really like it too because it is a math cartoon.  They deal with shapes and numbers and patterns.  It really is educational…who knows, maybe Bryant will follow in his mommy's financial footsteps!  Besides all of these things Bryant is talking up a storm now.  I still don't understand a lot of what he is saying, but it's getting better.  He now will even put some short sentences together.  The way he talks is just so cute…and I'm not bias. :)  Well, I think this post is long enough, so I'll hush now.  Below are a few pictures of the kiddo!  Also, I included a video that was taken probably a month or so ago.  It shows how smart Bryant is. :)  He's known the body parts for a while, but it's just been the past couple of months that he loves doing the animal sounds.  Mine and Josh's favorites are when he does the donkey (heehaw) and monkey.  Unfortunately, those two just became popular about 3 weeks ago, so they aren't on the video.

 Cutest breakfast date ever!
So sweet…always trying to share his slobber covered food. ;)
Playing with his dump truck
Watching my reaction as he knocks over his dump truck

Josh's friend "Fish" (that's what he calls him) came to see us and stay with us last night.  He brought Bryant a hat.  Bryant really likes it!!
He put it back on this morning…how cute is he!!

Until next time…

Rough Week at the Lees!

It's been well over a week since I wrote, and I actually have a good reason: we have been sick…a lot…at the Lee household.  Well, not the entire household, just Bryant and I.  In the past week Bryant has been to the doctor twice, he has had an inner ear infection, fifth disease, and a stomach bug.  As for me, I had a sore throat, fever, etc… that I ended up taking antibiotics for, and ended up getting Bryant's stomach bug.  FYI...stomach bug + pregnancy = awful!!  One of the worst moments was probably when Bryant threw up in Publix.  Poor thing, we had just walked in to grab one thing and he threw up everywhere.  All over me, all over him, all over the floor, and the worst part, all over/in my purse.  However, I thankfully was carrying my retro metro bag that can be washed, and I was reminded why I love Publix so much.  They helped with everything and were so sweet.  Anyway, that was definitely a first, although I doubt it will be the last for something like that. So as you can see, it's been a rough week here.  However, we are both on the mend, and I am praying and believing that we are going to get 100% well and stay that way!!!  Despite the sicknesses, I have taken a few pictures of the little man to share.

Lining up his shot.  He has gotten pretty good!
His face rash from the fifth disease. :(  Or at least that's what the doctor thinks it is...
He LOVES this puzzle!  And he is so good at it.
 Cutie Pie!
 Talking on his phone
His hat from the Thanksgiving Feast at Preschool.
The teacher gave him the name Chief Running Bull because he has been having trouble with tackling the other kids.  Ha!
Pulling all of his books out to read before bedtime.

Until next time…

Weekend in Opelika!

We had a fun time in Opelika this past weekend.  Josh went to the Alabama-LSU game with his mom and brother, so Bryant and I went to visit my parents.  It was a great time as always.  We didn't do much, we just mainly hung out.  We did things like go to the park and we went to lunch with my grandmother.  As is typical these days it seems, I wasn't feeling great, so it was so nice to have my parents help with Bryant.  My dad has so much energy that he can chase Bryant for hours.  It's great for both of them! :)  Anyway, below are some pictures from our time in Opelika, and just some from the past week!

 He's so cute!
Loves climbing into his rocker and reading to himself.
It's so sweet…reading his Bible.
 Watching some football
 Talking to Jojo
 Getting tickled by Jojo.
 They love each other :)
 Practicing his football throwing skills
 Playing basketball
Getting ready to dunk…Here we go...
 Lifting higher...
 And higher...
 And he DUNKS it!!
So proud of himself…and ready to do it 20 more times!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  Bryant had a fun "Halloween" this year.  We decided that he was still kind of young to go Trick or Treating, so we passed on that.  Although it was a little tempting thinking about all the candy I could get and eat myself! ;)  However, we did take Bryant to his first Fall Festival.  It was so much fun!  It was held at the church I go to for MOPS, First Baptist Church Pelham.  They had all sorts of activities.  They had about 6 different inflatables, tons of games, and lots of food.  Bryant got to play a few of the games that were for the preschool age kids.  He did so good!  He also got to have his first experience in a bouncy inflatable.  I would say he is still a little young, but he enjoyed it.  Every time he was able to stand up though he immediately fell back down.  So really he would just migrate to the wall and watch the other kids bounce.  He had a huge smile on his face the whole time!  Then we…and by we I mean me…got some popcorn, fresh corn on the cob, and hotdogs!! :)  Lastly, I have to share that Bryant really may have been the cutest kid there.  You would not believe how many people commented to us about how adorable he looked.  And we also had so many people that were like "Oh my goodness, look at the elephant.  That is so cute!"  And yes, it was!!!

 My little elephant!
Of course he had to play on the playground.
Playing a game at the festival!  He put the animals into the ark!
He did so good.
 Digging for a toy.
His first experience in a bouncy house!

Watch Out!!  There's an elephant in the bushes!

Me and my little boy!  Love him so much!!

Until next time…

A little of this…a little of that!

I realize that it has been a week and a half since I have posted, and I do apologize.  I guess I have just been a little lazy.  Oh, and pregnancy and sinus troubles have played a part too!  Anyway, we have not been too exciting here.  We have pretty much been living the norm.  Hanging out, going to the park, and a few "special" events.  One special thing we did was go to Josh's softball game.  Josh plays on his work softball team, and they have games on Wednesdays.  Well they finally had the early game, 6:30, so we went to support him.  They lost, but Bryant still had fun!  Below are some pictures.

On the field with daddy pregame.
 Practicing his wind up
He had a blast throwing the ball and running to get it.
Eating his yummy dinner I packed while watching the ballgame!

Another out of the norm thing we did was have dinner with our friends Brian & Julia.  They have a little boy, Paul, that is 7 weeks older than Bryant.  They also have a 4 month old, Walker.  We don't get together with them near as often as we would all like, but when we do it is lots of fun…especially for the boys!  They are so cute to watch, and since they are SO close in age, they are at the exact same stage.  Below are a few pictures from our night, and one SUPER CUTE video that you just have to watch!

 Waiting to greet our friends
 The boys eating their supper
Bryant of course had to give Walker some attention too.
 Playing in the shower curtain
They were being hilarious.

Here is the video of them playing.  It is one of the cutest things ever!!!

Like I said, otherwise it has been the norm.  Below are some more pictures of Bryant, a few at home and then a few from lunch at Cracker Barrel.

Always holding the follow through of his swing
 Cutie pie watching tv
He had lots of fun in the rocking chairs while we waited.
Doesn't the hat look great on him? :)
He REALLY enjoyed my blueberry pancakes I shared with him!!

Until next time…
