Weekend in Opelika!

Bryant and I went to Opelika for the weekend.  Josh didn't get to go because he had some other things to do.  I had a Thirty-one Party Saturday morning that my mom was hosting to benefit a local non-profit, Big House.  It was a lot of fun and went great!  Other than that we just hung out with Jojo and Pops.  I got some really GREAT pictures of Bryant to share.  The first set of pictures is him helping set up and playing with a tent-tunnel-teepee set that Jojo and Pops got.  He had so much fun playing with it.

Helping Jojo set up the tent
 Oops…he ran off with a piece :)
Telling us how excited he is about his new tent
 So Cute!!
Looking absolutely precious in his tent
 Finished product!
 Peekaboo
Running from the tent side to the teepee side
"Hello!"

This next set of pictures is from Bryant that night.  He just suddenly started telling us some stuff.  It was HILARIOUS!!  He was talking and using hand gestures and just preaching it!  I really wish I had of caught it on video, but I didn't.  I did however get a series of photos during it.  Below gives a good idea of how funny it was.

 Starting off his big talk
 Really getting into it here
Making sure we understand what he is telling us
And finishing big! :)

Below are some pictures of when I let Bryant go out into the sunroom to really play with Sam.  As you can see, he had really missed Sam while we were gone to the beach.  He was glad to get to terrorize him again. ;)

 Bryant loves his puppy!
Both staring up at Pops with love
 Patting his puppy's head
Wishes he could go swimming…but the pool is still too cold!

Saturday afternoon, after the party, we walked Bryant to a park down the road.  He had never been to this park before and he had a good time.

 Headed off to play
 Ready to climb up!
He climbed up really high…with Jojo right behind him of course. :)
Time to head back after a fun time playing

And lastly, later that afternoon we went over to see Gran (Bryant's Great-Gran).  She really loved getting to see him, and of course we really enjoyed getting to hang out with her some too!

Bryant & Gran

As you can see we had a great time at Jojo and Pops!

Until next time…

Beach Fun!

We had a great time at the beach the past several days.  We got down there Sunday afternoon and got home yesterday afternoon.  Although the view and scenery were absolutely beautiful, the weather was not.  But that's okay, we were able to have a good time anyway.  On Monday Bryant got to swim some in the indoor part of the swimming pool.  However, is was cold outside and extremely windy.  The wind was so bad that we couldn't even go on the beach that day.  So besides swimming, Jama and I took him to the park in the resort and he had fun playing.  On Tuesday it was still a little cool, but not as bad, and the wind wasn't as bad.  We actually went on the beach for a little bit and Bryant got to play with his sand toys that Jama got him.  Bryant absolutely loved the beach.  He thought the sand was neat, and he loved just staring at the ocean.  He also enjoyed getting to spend time with his Jama.  All in all it was a good trip, and I of course got some good pictures to capture Bryant's first beach trip as a toddler! :)

"Look mom, my toys came to the beach too!"
 Waiting to go outside!!
Jama is showing him the pretty fish
Ready to go to the pool!
Josh just told him we were going :)
Scoping out the pool before he gets in
 He thinks he likes it...
 He does!

 Daddy's shoulders are fun!
 "Yay for swimming!"
 Loved it!

Jama & Bryant ready to go to dinner
Checking out his sand toys Jama got him
 He loved them
 Staring at the beautiful ocean

He enjoyed chewing on his rake
 Love that precious smile

Working on a sand castle…Bryant was supervising his daddy and Jama
 Now he's ready to help
Not sure what they were staring at…

Well that's it.  As you can see, it was a great trip!

Until next time…

Thirty-One Party/Jojo Visits

We have had a very fun weekend so far.  Josh had a men's conference, Catalyst, at the church on Friday and Saturday.  He had a great time.  Also, on Friday, Jojo came up to visit.  Well…she came to visit, but she really came because I needed her to keep Bryant while I attended my very first Thirty-One party!!  It was SO much fun!  As I have written before, I became a Thirty-One consultant the end of last month.  Well yesterday my amazing friend Hillary Moore hosted a Thirty-One party.  It went GREAT!  Below are a couple of pictures.  See how CUTE all of the products are…and of course Hillary did a wonderful job with the brunch food.

So while I was working on my Thirty-One party, Bryant and Jojo were having a blast!  And of course I had fun getting to hang out with Jojo some too.  She is such an amazing mom.  I am lucky. :)  Below are some pictures of her and Bryant being silly.

 Playing bouncy
 Having fun with his Jojo
They have a mutual admiration for each other
:)

So…as if our weekend hasn't been enough fun already, we are leaving for the BEACH today!  I am so excited.  We are going down and staying with Josh's mom.  It is going to be so much fun.  I can't wait to see what Bryant thinks of the ocean and sand and stuff.  He was so young when we were at the beach last year that this year is going to be totally different.  I can't wait!  Below are a couple of pictures of Bryant trying to help me pack.

"Mom, what else can I help you with?" - notice in the back he had already helped me by strewing around Josh's towel and swimsuits and pulling out his lifejacket...
"Should we take my life jacket?"
He likes to eat his life jacket…

Well, that's about it for now.  My next post will be after we get back from the beach on Wednesday.  I should have lots of fun pictures.  I have to share one more quick thing below though.  So Bryant likes to take the salad dressings out of the refrigerator every time I open it.  It is a little annoying, but not a big deal.  Well, now he has started taking them out and then putting them back in.  It is cute.

He takes them out and carries them around until they end up on the floor.
And now he picks it back up and takes it back to the fridge...
and puts it back in it's spot! :)

Anyway, I of course think it's amusing.  Well, that really is all for now!

Until next time…
