The kids and I spent this past Friday thru Tuesday in Opelika at my parents house. The original reason for going down was to attend a wedding on Saturday. Unfortunately Josh ended up being pretty sick all weekend with a nasty virus (I don't think it was what Taylor had because there was a very different symptom. ;) ). He started feeling bad on Thursday, and didn't really start felling better until Monday. But although we didn't go to the wedding, and Josh didn't come down at all, we still had a great time! Saturday was my mom's 60th Birthday, so we got to celebrate that with her! And we just got to hang out with her and dad a ton. We also got to see Uncle Jon (Josh's brother) and his fiancee Rachel for an hour or two on Saturday. They were in town for the wedding we were suppose to go to, so they came over to see the kiddos for a little bit. It was great to see them too! The only negative of the trip was that poor Bryant had a sore on his tongue. Apparently he bit his tongue sometime last week, and instead of healing naturally, the spot got angry! It ended up getting really bad and started to get infected. Poor baby could not eat anything without crying, and therefore lived off of a little yogurt in the morning, and ice cream for dinner for almost 3 days. I had to take him to the doctor down in Opelika since it was looking infected. She prescribed an antibiotic for him and I am happy to say it is doing much better! So Crazy!?! I'm hoping my family will stay all well for a while. :) Below are some pictures. I was going to include a picture of Bryant's poor tongue, but then I looked at it again and realized how gross it was…so you're welcome, I did not include it. ;)
Sweet boy singing Happy Birthday to Jojo!
Pops is probably explaining to Taylor that he would give her cake, but mommy won't let him. ;)
He tried to eat some cake...
Playing golf with Uncle Jon. Bryant wanted to be outside playing golf 24/7.
He is so cute!
Bedtime fun with Pops.
Because Bryant wanted to be outside playing golf, I just decided Taylor could eat on the front porch!
She enjoyed watching Bryant.
Taylor felt the need to always help Jojo on her computer.
Park Time!! We went to the park every day we were there. It's so fun being able to walk to a park.
Exhausted girl.
She was smiling HUGE for her Pops. She sure does love him.
Trying to get them to slide together. Bryant was yelling CHEESE and Taylor was skeptical.
My dad…such a big kid! :)
Until next time…
Heather
