I'm having to backtrack almost a month to write this. Oops! But here goes. We had a wonderful Christmas here in Athens. Christmas Eve we went to a Christmas Eve service, out to dinner, and rode around looking at Christmas lights. Then we proceeded to get two VERY excited kiddos to bed so that Santa could come and get to bed himself! Christmas morning was wonderful and the kids were so so excited. We cooked pigs in a blanket and cinnamon rolls, and Thomas was so so excited because I actually let him have some cinnamon roll. ;) Of course I ate off the icing part…you know…because I'm an awesome mom like that. Ha! Then, the very next day Josh left to head to Jacksonville, FL for the Taxslayer Bowl. We stayed behind with the intention of going to my parents for a couple of days to see two of my sisters that were there. However, due to several people there being sick, we ended up not going. :( So we just headed to Jacksonville the next day…with a side stop to have lunch with my mom and sister Grace outside of Atlanta! The entire bowl week was lots of fun. Several days we went to the Cabana Club and swam (it had a heated pool, plus it was in the 80s outside) and enjoyed the beach. Then one day we went to a place called Adventure Landing that had go-carts, mini-golf, etc. Then another day we went to the Jacksonville Zoo. It was fun. Plus, while we were there we got to hang out with Josh's family some because his brother and sister-in-law live there and his mom was staying at there house. Then his sister and her kiddos came up for the weekend and game. And his dad came for the game. So it was great to get to see and hang out with all of them! The past few weeks since then we have really just been getting back into the normal routine. We have gotten together with friends some and gone to a few UGA basketball games. It was sad because this past week we had to say goodbye to our friends the Hartleys. Todd got a coaching job at Miami, so they moved last week. They were our best friends here, so it was hard. :( But other than that everything has been good! Below are TONS of pictures.
