Two Weeks Old!

Precious Taylor is two weeks old today.  I can't believe it!  We have had a great week.  My mom left on Saturday morning, and we all were so sad to see her leave.  However, it was time to enter into reality, and we definitely have!  It is so different having two kids, but Bryant is so amazing that it makes it a little easier.  I have officially been suffering from extreme tiredness and "mommy guilt".  I think most moms experience "mommy guilt" when they add additional kids to the household, but I know both kids are going to be fine!  At least that is what everyone tells me. ;)  I had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday.  I got to spend the day with my sweet husband and two awesome kiddos.  Plus, each child, including Sam, got me a card and they picked out a beautiful cross that is now hung in my living room.  I felt very loved. :)  Then on Monday we had some really special visitors come to see us: Aunt Hillary & Uncle Evan!!  As most of you know, my twin and her hubby live in Colorado.  However, they had been down at the beach, and drove up here to spend the day with us on Monday before they flew back home.  It was such a special treat!  And sweet Taylor got to meet her first set of Aunts & Uncles!  Hopefully she'll get to meet the others before too long.  While they were here we just hung out around the house, and went to the park for a little bit.  It was super fun, and Bryant definitely had a great time playing with Uncle Evan. :)  Today we went over to Bryant's friends Luke and Ella's house (my friend Emily).  Some other friends were there too, and all the kids had a blast!!  And it was nice to get out of the house and be around other adults too! :)  Below are some pictures from our past week.

One Week Old!!

Taylor was one week old yesterday.  I have the same feelings about her as I did Bryant, can't believe it's been a week, yet can't remember before she was here.  The past several days have been pretty boring around here.  Taylor had to stay on the phototherapy light bed until this afternoon.  However, her bilirubin levels finally dropped low enough to take her off of it this afternoon.  We have to go back to the pediatrician on Saturday just to check on the level.  Hopefully it will still be good!  I have been so thankful to have my mom, Jojo, here.  She has taken Bryant to the park and played with him constantly while I have tended to Taylor.  It has been so helpful!  However, I did get to have some mommy-Bryant time on Tuesday afternoon when I took him to the park.  It was nice. :)  I finally got to take several new pictures of Taylor this afternoon once she was off the bed and dressed.  She is super cute!  Also, you will see where I took a 1-week picture of her with a sheep.  I plan to try to take a weekly picture of her with it just like I did Bryant.  So far I'm off to a great start! ;)  Enjoy the pictures of my two cuties.

 One Week Old!
Bryant wanted his picture taken with the sheep too!  Precious boy!

Pediatrician's Visit…not the best. :(

Today I took Taylor to see her pediatrician.  Due to her left shoulder injury experienced during birth, the NICU had requested us to take her to our pediatrician today.  Well, they X-rayed her shoulder, and the good news is that nothing is broken.  However, he didn't like the lack of movement he saw so he is sending us to a specialist.  However, that is being placed on hold due to something else we ran in to today.  Although Taylor was fine when we left the hospital, today she looked really jaundice.  The doctor checked her bilirubin level, and it was 21! (It should be 10 or lower)  So now Taylor is having to do photolight therapy. :(  I HATE it!  She has to stay on this light 24/7 except when being fed.  Please pray that she only has to do this for a couple of days…or if we are praying then pray for only one day!!!  It breaks a momma's heart.

My precious baby on her light therapy.

On a happier note, precious Bryant is LOVING his new baby sister.  It is absolutely adorable.  He talks about her all the time and gives her kisses about every second. :)  And any time she makes even a whimper he runs over to her and asks "Baby Taylor what's wrong?" in a very concerned tone.  It makes my heart melt.  He also really likes to hold her.  In fact, last night he about threw a temper tantrum when Josh and I tried to take Taylor from him.  I guess he is already her protector. :)  Anyway, below are some pictures from our first several days at home!  Poppi came to visit for the weekend, and we have had several other visitors come to meet Taylor too.  It's been fun!

 Holding her paci in. ;)
 Love her face here!

Oh wait…maybe it's not that great.
 Ahhh…it's over!

Bryant told her all about the pediatrician so she would be prepared. :)

Margaret "Taylor" Lee…our newest addition!

Our sweet baby girl was born this past Wednesday - May 1, 2013.  We got to bring precious Taylor home from the hospital today.  I am already so in love with my daughter it's crazy.  And yet I still love my little boy so much…my heart grew overnight! :)  Taylor had a pretty uneventful entrance into the world until right at the end.  Unfortunately her left shoulder was stuck in my pubic bone due to her size.  That has caused her to not have good movement in it, but we are just praying it will work itself out.  We go to the pediatrician on Monday to evaluate it and talk about next steps.  Please pray that she will get more movement in it quickly.  Also, due to her getting stuck with her head already almost out, when she first came out she was not breathing.  This was terrifying.  The NICU worked on her for over 5 minutes, and when we finally got to hear her first cry after waiting over 5 minutes, Josh and I were extremely relieved.  I of course started crying.  So grateful that she was okay.  If you are wondering why her shoulder was stuck, maybe these stats will explain: Taylor was 10 lbs 7 oz and 22 inches!!  CRAZY!!!!  Apparently I have big babies!  And I thought Bryant was big at 8 lbs 10 oz!  His sister outdid him by almost 2 pounds!!  Anyway, we are having fun watching her big brother Bryant talk to her and count her fingers, etc. and we are having fun with her too!  Below are some sweet pictures of our newest addition and our new family of four!
