Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a really fun 3-day weekend!  On Friday night we went to some friends house to grill out.  We all had a great time!  Especially all the kiddos who got to stay up way past their bedtime! :)  Then on Saturday night we had some different friends come over to our house to grill out.  Harper, the baby that I kept last fall, has started walking, and Bryant had so much fun following her around and "helping" her with stuff. ;)  Then on Sunday Josh took Bryant to the SEC Championship Baseball Game.  Bryant really enjoyed himself.  They had hospitality suite passes, so they spent the majority of time in there, however, Josh did take him out to the stands for a little while.  Josh said that while in the suite, Bryant sang "Wheels on the Bus" for everyone.  Wasn't that so sweet!  Ha!  Anyway, Bryant was absolutely adorable when he got home.  He told me that he watched the Tigers and Commodores, and that the Tigers were purple and the Commodores were white.  So smart!  Then on Monday Josh enjoyed his day off by playing golf with some buddies and then going over to our friends house to grill and hang out.  I on the other hand enjoyed my day even more because my mom came up!  She just came up for the day to see me and the kids.  We had lots of fun just hanging out and playing.  I'm so glad my momma lives somewhat close. :)  Below are some pictures from the weekend!

3 Weeks Old!

Wow, I can't believe I'm already writing about Taylor being 3 weeks old.  It seems like I just wrote her 2 week post yesterday!  I guess time is flying because we are staying busy.  We have had some fun times the past several days.  On Tuesday we met some friends at the park.  We are so lucky to have an awesome park that is only about 5 minutes away.  It was already quite warm, but Bryant didn't seem to mind, he had a blast!  Then yesterday we met some of my friends for lunch to celebrate our friend Jennifer's 30th Birthday!  It was lots of fun.  And Bryant had a good time because he got to hang out with his friend Lee Griffin.  They had fun playing while the adults got to chat.  It was the first time I'd really had to get myself and both kids "presentable" and out of the house by a specific time, and I think I did pretty good!  I was only about 5 minutes late. ;)  Then today Bryant's friend Paul, my friend Julia, came over to play.  The boys had such a good time, and Julia and I always have fun getting to hang out and chat.  It was a great time had by all!  Oh, and one more thing, my sweet girl slept for her longest stretch ever last night: 9:15 pm - 1:30 am!  That's 4 hours and 15 minutes!!  And I actually slept for 3 hours of that time. YAY Taylor!  Hopefully it wasn't just a fluke and she will keep that up…although I'm not holding my breath, since she is just 3 weeks old! :)  Below are lots of pictures from the past several days…including Taylor's 3-week pic!

She was pumped about taking her 3-week picture! ;)
She is so beautiful…and I'm not biased. ;)
 Tummy time
Sweet brother trying to get her to eat a banana. Ha!
I wonder what she is dreaming about that is making her smile...

Silly boy in the bushes.
She loves sleeping on my chest…and I love it too!
"Who…me?"
 Okay paparazzi, that's enough!
Oh the joys of having an older brother.  So sweet to give her toys while she sleeps. :)
 Swinging is super fun!
Walker wants to play basketball with the big boys too!
Sleeping beauty enjoying her nap.  She loves her tummy!

Taylor's 2-3 Week Pediatrician Check Up!

Taylor had her pediatrician check up today.  It went AWESOME!!  First off, she had finally gained some weight, and was past her birth weight at 10 lbs 8 oz!  Also, her jaundice is completely gone and she looked great!  Everything he checked was perfect!  AND he was extremely impressed with her left shoulder.  He made the comment, "This is not the same baby I saw last time".  After evaluating her he told me he expected us to see a 100% recovery!  How great is that!  God is SO good!!  The doctor still wants us to see a physical therapist so they can evaluate her, but he was very positive about everything.  I was so happy!

Ready for the doctor!  The BIG bow/flower is from my friend Emily, and I only have her wearing it for her and my friend Kristin.  So they better appreciate. ;)  I'm not a big bow person…although my sweet Taylor looks precious in anything! :)
Waiting to see the doctor…so patient.
Look at her showing off by lifting up her left arm/shoulder!!!

Other happenings since my last post.  Let's see, Bryant's last day of playschool was this past Thursday. He talks about his friends and Mrs. Karen a lot, so I know he is going to miss them so much.  I hope to get together with some of them for play dates over the summer.  Below is a picture of the cutie on his last day!

Precious little boy ready for his last day!
Can't forget Mrs. Karen's present!

Our weekend was low key for the most part, but we did have a few special visitors on Sunday, one being POPS! My dad came up to spend the afternoon with us.  He was going to bring my grandmother with him so she could meet Taylor, but she had a cold and couldn't come. :(  I was glad that he still came though, and Bryant definitely had a blast!  It is so nice to have my parents close enough where they can make day trips like that!  Also, my good friend Sara was in town and came by to meet sweet Taylor.  She is also a Physical Therapist, so she was able to look at Taylor's shoulder for us too.  She also was very positive about her recovery.  YAY!  I didn't take any pictures while either of them were here, but I do have several other pictures from the past several days to share!  Enjoy!

He is such a silly big brother!
I think they favor each other :)
He told me, "I don't want to say cheese."
But I was able to get this.
 Smiling in her sleep.
 Brother loves his sister.
They were checking each other out. :)
My beautiful sweetheart!

Until next time…

Two Weeks Old!

Precious Taylor is two weeks old today.  I can't believe it!  We have had a great week.  My mom left on Saturday morning, and we all were so sad to see her leave.  However, it was time to enter into reality, and we definitely have!  It is so different having two kids, but Bryant is so amazing that it makes it a little easier.  I have officially been suffering from extreme tiredness and "mommy guilt".  I think most moms experience "mommy guilt" when they add additional kids to the household, but I know both kids are going to be fine!  At least that is what everyone tells me. ;)  I had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday.  I got to spend the day with my sweet husband and two awesome kiddos.  Plus, each child, including Sam, got me a card and they picked out a beautiful cross that is now hung in my living room.  I felt very loved. :)  Then on Monday we had some really special visitors come to see us: Aunt Hillary & Uncle Evan!!  As most of you know, my twin and her hubby live in Colorado.  However, they had been down at the beach, and drove up here to spend the day with us on Monday before they flew back home.  It was such a special treat!  And sweet Taylor got to meet her first set of Aunts & Uncles!  Hopefully she'll get to meet the others before too long.  While they were here we just hung out around the house, and went to the park for a little bit.  It was super fun, and Bryant definitely had a great time playing with Uncle Evan. :)  Today we went over to Bryant's friends Luke and Ella's house (my friend Emily).  Some other friends were there too, and all the kids had a blast!!  And it was nice to get out of the house and be around other adults too! :)  Below are some pictures from our past week.
